Shanghai Homestay Reviews

The location of the homestay is great! Close to the park, great local food, and the metro! The place is relatively clean. The rug in front of the bathroom was covered in hair that I had to sweep myself. A side note, the place is not child friendly due to the stairs and the touch-access dishwasher and washing machine. Other than those things, the host was very helpful and accommodating and we had a great stay!

We had a great experience at this homestay! The place was spotless, with not a speck of dust in sight. Despite our late check-in, the host had already turned on the air conditioning, which instantly relieved us from the heat and made us feel at ease. The amenities were excellent, with a washing machine and dryer provided, and the soundproofing was exceptional—no noise disturbed us during the night. We requested a late checkout, and the host graciously allowed us to stay an extra hour at no additional cost. This was our first time staying at such a wonderful homestay in China, and the value for money was outstanding. We will definitely choose this place again on our next visit to Shanghai!

We stayed 5 nights here. The room was clean and well equipped! Air conditioning also working very well. Host was well communicated and very helpful. I would stay again!

Good location , walking distance (within 2km) to Wukang building and Jing A temple, lots of hipster cafe / eateries. A bit of walk to subway for daily commute. For home stay, they are doing their best , excellent support via WeChat! We stayed in of the 3 story home stay with washing ma home, fresh towels n clean beds. But the finishing and furnishing is a bit dated , when look closely, it’s a bit dusty (our kids have sensitive airways ) but if you are not into all these details! Will still recommend it for family! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Ps: there’s a neighbour with cute cats nearby! Uber cute !

Very cute and clean . Nice location. A little hard to find at night especially because there is no number on door . I do wish owners would let people know about the construction going on it was a little unpleasant and I was not able to sleep a little late .

The house is only 5 minutes walk away from Wuding MRT station, after taking 1 station you can reach Jing An temple station. Jing A temple station is on main line 2, it can bring you to most of the attractions in city centre, and Hongqiao train station as well as Pudong airport. So location is very good. Within walking distance there are plenty of food, it is even walkable to Jing An temple and the nearby squares and malls, it takes about 15 minutes. The house is very new and clean. There are 2 rooms 2 beds, our family of 2 adults and 3 kids can stay comfortably. The house is within an old alley so when we first arrived at night it was quite dark. But in the morning we enjoyed the charm of an old Shanghai alley, different experience from staying in a tall apartment. Host is very friendly. House has everything you need, including washing machine and detergent and clothes rack for hanging clothes. There is a small furnished kitchen to heat up food, but maybe too small for cooking.

The place was super beautiful. Upto 5 people to the room. The host was very supportive and caring.

Nice place to stay in Shanghai. I really love location and communication with a host. The house was clean, very quiet and so close to metro station!

The room is big enough to accommodate the family and located with various of restaurent nearby. The landlord was so kind since we ask where can we find the drinking water, not so long they shown up with lots of drinking water for us. Moreover, when there are some problems the landlord can be reached by wechat and willing to help.

First of all, the main problem the address in trip.com and the address the hotel gave in wechat is TOTALLY DIFFERENT. I had to go through the hassle from reaching the wrong address to finding the right one from wechat. If the address was wrong, what was the purpose of me booking there? I booked it becuz of the location. Second, they did provide slippers for all, but the floor was dirty. My family was used to walking bare foot so they decided to clean it on their own. Third, the toilet drainage was horrible. I had to remove the cover to be able to make the water flow. And the showerhead had weak water flow. Fourth, the wood at the upper floor had a sharp end at a certain spot. Which we had to be careful. Overall, the amenities and guidance was nice and clear. The overall environment of the stay was fairly pleasant as well. Very pretty place with flaws. The hotel was responsive as well when we noticed these problems. I'll give it a 2.5/5, but it was cheap so I guess one can't be picky.
