Overall a disappointing experience for several reasons. I’m not one who usually writes negative reviews or makes lists of issues when I stay at hotels, but there were a few that were difficult to ignore: 1. I stayed on Christmas Eve because we were having the hotel’s brunch the next day. I thought I would have a nice, relaxing morning to wake up and get ready, but instead was awoken to construction work out in the hallway—drilling and hammering that were incredibly loud. Furthermore, the whole room was then filled with the STRONGEST, AWFUL smell of burning plastic that I had ever smelt. Because none of the windows in the room could open, I had to suffer through the smell and try to ready as quickly as possible…not a pleasant way to wake up! 2. The bathroom just wasn’t clean. There were urine and possible blood stains on the toilet seat and floor that I had to wipe away when I first arrived to the room. Cleaning services should do a better job to check the toilet surfaces when cleaning. 3. It’s December and the middle of a cold snap in Shanghai, but for some reason the room was unbearably hot and stuffy. I turned off the heating and even tried to turn on the cold AC but the temperature remained the same. It was difficult to sleep because of how hot and sweaty I was. The windows couldn’t be opened so I couldn’t even get a fresh breeze…

It was perfect in every way. I was thinking about Fairmont and Waldorf and chose Waldorf. Choosing Waldorf was really the best choice. It was hard to enter and exit Fairmont because there were so many tourists. Foreigners like me definitely recommend going to Waldorf. And make sure to upgrade to the riverside view room. You can see the best view of Waitan lying down in bed. And Steven Diep! You made our trip perfect. I will not forget your service and kindness. Thank you.

Great location, close to Nanjing Lu of course for all the touristy, but also behind the hotel you can get a slice of more local life in Shanghai too. The hotel was very clean, the rooms were beautiful too. It's an older hotel, so the decor is more traditional and is showing some very minor signs of age. We were very comfortable throughout and made use of the lovely indoor swimming pool too.

Great location very close to the bund and on east Nanjing road so if you want to shop it’s great. I felt the service was below average for the price of 2700 ¥ a night. There was no welcome drinks you would think on a hot summer day the front desk would offer water. There was no help going to the room and guide on Wi-Fi, the room, where the swimming pool and time for breakfast. The turn down service is lackluster nothing was really changed in the room. The front desk really need training on how to treat guest at a luxury level this is not a cheap hotel and thus guest pay extra money for the hotel to pay extra for attention to detail. Breakfast service was great and the selection was great.

Perfect 5nights stay in Shanghai. Excellent location-5mins walking distance to Yu Yuan豫园, 3mins to nearest MRT Station (Yuyuan Station), Family Mart. 10mins walk to the Bund. 2 stations away to Nanjing Pedestrian Street. Room- Excellent design, huge room with seperate toilet(automation toiletbowl) and shower with bathtub, dressing table, big wardrobe to hang coats and big space to put luggages. Spacious Living area. Minibar is free and replenish everyday. Service- Front desk Lily and others staffs are helpful and friendly. All my request were fullfilled. House keeper aunty name 覃爱元 is so nice and polite , she always keep our room clean and tidy! Breakfast-Alot of variety, chinese and western. Coffee is good! Hotel Interior- New , Classy and elegant! Awards winning hotel.

The hotel is close to Nanjing, the Bund and Yuyuan areas which is a plus already if you are fond of walking. Never experienced any inconvenience during my stay, the drilling and construction activities are faintly heard in my room in the morning but these activities stop at night. You might hear sounds from other rooms, but it was not a problem to me as I was not a light sleeper. Going to the hotel is a bit of a challenge though. The hotel is almost three blocks away from Yuyuan Garden station (exit 4). The pavement is not wheel friendly type and it gets pretty dark when it is night. If you have loads of luggage, i suggest taking a taxi to avoid inconvenience. There is an all day mart beside the hotel. Thank you to the receptionist on duty when I was there who helped me with my laundry (laundry and dryer not free though 😔). You can also leave your luggage after check out.

The location is excellent, close to Nanjing East Road subway station, there is a restaurant fruit shop downstairs, there is a convenience store not far away, diagonally opposite the Japanese food store, you can see the coffee shop on the corner at a glance. Dissatisfied place: the room is quite small, really small, I can still hear the cough of the uncle next door, the bathroom can also hear the sound of water next door, the drain of the sink can not be pulled up, you have to use your nails slowly button. The facilities are complete and beautiful, it is really small... If there are not many things, both want to integrate into the local people's life atmosphere and can immediately invest in the tourism state, this store is quite good.

The best thing about this particular Atour Hotel is its proximity to the Bund, which is literarily a stone's throw away with a nearby Family Mart that is well-stocked with travel essentials and snacks. Nanjing Road is also within walking distance. As such, this Hotel is not the most spacious one especially if you have a bigger family, as its bedroom fits one big and one small bed just nice and its wash basin has to be in the doorway. One suggestion is to provide 3 towels instead of 2 for a family of 3. The breakfast is expectantly scrumptious with agood mix of protein and vegetables, however its coffee can be better as the current one is a bit too bland, as compared to Atour in other cities. Otherwise, the stay is ”Atourly” perfect.

Found a good deal on trip for this hotel and I wasn’t disappointed! The location is amazing! A 5-10 mins walk to The Bund, 10 mins to Nanjing East Road metro station & the pedestrian street. The room has this lovely retro chic style and was clean. Bed was comfy and amenities were great! I was surprised to see a capsule coffee machine in the room and a few fizzy drinks in the fridge for free. My room was in the second floor & it was noise free as well. Highly recommend staying there!

Very enjoyable stay! We arrived early in the morning before the scheduled check-in time. Although it was fully booked that day, they have managed to keep the housekeeping process quick to allow us in for a good rest. Before we depart to airport, they even offered us bottle of mineral water to keep us hydrated. Small gestures, but great hospitality. Kudos to the receptionist team. Will definitely be my top pick in next visit.

After living in, the children were very pleasantly surprised and very happy. I didn’t expect the room to be so big. The night view outside was very beautiful, although it was not a room on the Bund. What location is not easy to find, my daughter's customer service is still the location and pictures sent by the boss, and she quickly found the place, and the attitude is very good. If there is a problem, it will be solved immediately. We went out to play and came back to the garbage. Put it up, That is, the sound insulation of the door is perfect, the window is very soundproof, and the door has a gap. Ji hotel has great location, right beside daimaru dept store and hongyi plaza. Walking distance to the bund. We stayed at family room (1 double + 1 single). Room is cleaned daily but only the floor, the bed isn’t made at all during our 4 night stay. They only clean the floor and replace towel. Hotel is non smoking but you can clearly smell cigarette smell in the hallway and bathroom. I suspect people upstairs or downstairs smoke in the bathroom. Free laundry in the first floor. Lack of basic amenities (toothbrush must ask the receptionist). Receptionists know little to no English, some are not very friendly.

✨ [First glance into the room] The location of the room is very good, parking and taxi! Going downstairs in a straight line of about 200 meters, you will arrive at Nanjing Road… it is also very close to the Chenghuang Temple! The most worth stressing is that after checking out, I found that the ring was left in the room. The landlord arranged for the first time to clean and didn't find it. After communication, I went to help find it again. I finally found it and sent it back to the courier! So: highly recommended! The landlord and the cleaning aunt are very good! !

This location is really amazing , walk a few hundred meters to the Bund, and it takes 10 minutes to reach , The landlord is very welcoming and polite, especially recommend it here! It is also very safe here. You must register your ID card first on the first floor before going upstairs . Takeaway is delivered to a shelf on the first floor, and the view is great at night!  Shampoo shower gel conditioner is available, and the amount is very sufficient! Combs, toothbrushes and cups are available, and the disposable ones are very clean. Parking is not very good, (cheap less), but nearby~ you can stop if you want to spend money. 😂
