We stayed at the hotel as we were visiting our son at the University and the hotel is a 5 min walk from the Endcliffe village complex so very convenient. We had seen the hotel from driving by a number of times and it looked very nice from the outside with the inviting bar and restaurant and boutique hotel rooms. We booked the Swallows Rafter room and this was very good with very large double bed and freestanding bath in the room as well as a separate wet room. We didn’t have dinner in the restaurant but had breakfast, which was a la carte rather than a Buffett. The food was very good - I had the full breakfast and my wife the vegetarian version. The staff were very helpful throughout from checking in/out and in the bar/restaurant. The hotel is right on the corner of Endcliffe Park and Ecceshall Road so easy access to bars and restaurants, the University and only a few miles from the Peak District. I would definitely recommend the hotel and as our son has just started a 4 year course, I’m sure we will be back.
