ECheng Hotel near Shenyang North (Shenyangbei) Railway station has great amenities, convenient location being literally steps away from Shenyang North Railway station from which my party arrived, not to mention truly friendly staff as well as a fabulous breakfast that impressed us all. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend anyone who go to Shenyang to experience this fine hotel, its wonderful hospitality and nearby conveniences. My stay was a disaster. The room temperature didn't go below 28C (82F) even with air conditioning running at full blast. Aircon was clearly not working at all, e.g. fake (see picture). I tried to open the window, but the hinges were broken and it was not possible. So, sleepless sweaty nights can't be called a good stay. Just in case: the staff (at least the lady who checked me in) couldn't speak a word in English and was not even trying to (at least using an online translator, like they do in other hotels in China, would have been a nice gesture). Overall, definitely not recommended. It's a terribly bad place. God knows how they get all these reviews! Just go elsewhere.

I went to Shenyang for some personal business. I booked this hotel because its near the place I have to go. Affordable and good facilities. There are water bottles available in the hallway for convenience. The breakfast is okay for its price. The staff are helpful even if we had to use translator apps. I have trip.com rewards so we can do late check out which is a plus as we were tired and we can rest before our return trip. The only thing I didn’t like is that the air-con is too noisy at night which contributed to bad sleep. Its good for its price.

The room was equally impressive, featuring a sleek and contemporary design with cozy furnishings. I particularly loved the voice-activated controls for the lights, curtains, AC, and TV—it added a touch of innovation and convenience that made my stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was another highlight. The spread was extensive, offering a mix of European and Chinese options, all fresh and delicious. It was the perfect way to start the day, whether I was heading out for meetings or exploring the city. Overall, the Yicheng Hotel is a fantastic choice for anyone visiting Shenyang. Its convenient location, modern amenities, and excellent service make it a standout option. I highly recommend it and would definitely stay here again on my next trip!

The biggest headache when staying in a hotel is eating! 😅 Here, we have our work lunches ready to go! The spicy chicken and scrambled eggs with tomatoes are even better than takeout, and it's so blissful to eat them in your room while watching TV! No need to carry your dirty laundry downstairs; just call and someone will pick it up, wash it, and return it neatly folded. A detail-conscious person will love it! The North Railway Station shuttle service is a real plus! It's just a 5-minute walk from the hotel. The hotel's 24-hour service is very thoughtful, and they even provided us with soy milk. The 24-hour laundry room is right next to the gym, so after a run, I just threw my clothes in the washing machine, and they washed them deliciously. The breakfast the next day was also super filling! 🍳 I'll stay here again next time I'm in Shenyang!!!
