When I arrived on Thursday a friendly young person welcomed me and showed me to my room . Unfortunately that is where the good news ended .The room reminded me of bedsits from the 1980's . The furniture was dated and the bed creaked, There was a sink in the corner with no hot water ..The bathroom and toilet were down a corridor and had carpet on the floor . On my return on Saturday night I was greeted with a rock band playing full blast below my room .On Sunday night I returned to find the place in darkness and was the only guest staying it seemed .On Monday night I returned and found the place again in darkness and that I was locked out Despite ringing the number and banging on the windows and doors I got no reply and had to revert to my car, As I was going the next day I had to return to retrieve my stuff from my room .Having found a member of staff and informed them of what happened I was greeted with a blank expression .I checked the key and it worked so someone obviously double locked the door from the inside . I contacted Fullers the next day and they passed the buck .I still haven't heard from the premises or received any refund for my non accommodation. Also it advertises as b&b but dont provide breakfast

Welcoming staff and a proper local pub with friendly customers. People have said it could do with some TLC but I think that gives it the character. Able to get back in after hours with a key to side entrance. Limited but secure parking at back of pub

Overall a good experience. Bar area is nice, open and airy and the welcome was warm and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable but could do with a little TLC. Also it's advertised as a B&B but no breakfast available during our stay. Also the pub closed ad 2000 and we arrived at 1900, which we weren't aware of - not a problem for us this time as we were going out elsewhere, but otherwise might have been.

I always stay at the Crabtree when I visit Shoreham. 6 times this year. I love it. The pub atmosphere with the bands is excellent. They treat me very well. It’s very child friendly. The food is excellent and you’re very close to Shoreham to get anything you need or have forgotten eg Boots for a hairbrush! The room I stay in is en-suite and very comfortable. It’s very close to the train station and buses stop outside. Also they serve Chardonnay which is quite rare. I lived in Sussex for many years and base myself there when people are visiting me.

Dreadful place cannot believe they can charge 90 for this, cold, rotting windows, carpet in bathroom!!!, 4 mins for hot water to come through, and even a rentokil box in room, in this dy and age this place is a,disgrace and has very misleading photos

Staff friendly! Whole of pub is very dated and a bit cluttered. Thought breakfast was included as advertised, but no breakfast! Should have been informed and reduction offered. A little noisy due to railway in close proximity, paintwork in toilet very, very dusty.

Recently renovated and upgraded. Clean and comfortable rooms with a friendly welcome. We did not eat in but returned to a Irish jam night which was a lot of fun. New landlady has introduced a lot of music and community events. Well worth a visit.

I cannot believe places like this still exist, let alone have the temerity to charge £90 a night! Car park has a garage full or rubbish, if the pub is closed, Rooms are accessed through a messy garden strewn with toys and up cluttered back stairs. One room was passable, though carpet in the bathroom is always a red flag. But the sheets and towels were clean and it was spacious. The other two were horrendous, up at the very top of the building. One so cold a draughty that the curtains blew even when the window was shut. The bathroom carpet was stained with blood and the shower was stone cold. The other had a shower parked like a Tardis in the middle of the room (no en-suite, the toilet was shared downstairs) and on checkin, we were told that the Tardis shower was not hooked up to the hot water, so they hadn’t bothered cleaning it! £90 a night per room and no en-suite (which we weren’t informed of prior to checkin) It’s unbelievable! Please, please save your money and run away, fast from this place!!!
