A 3 generations family lunch today which was superb from start to finish. This restaurant has both superior quality food and exceptional service from the moment we arrived. Very attentive staff and the lunch menu is superb value for money. A great wine choice and a beautiful dining room overlooking the sea. We relaxed with after dinner coffee in the lounge. A very lovely family lunch, we’ll be back again soon. Thank you, a beautiful hotel.

Very poor Xmas lunch on 13th December, starter was good, desert was OK, but the main turkey dinner was very poor, very little meat, the potatoes were hard and veg poor. The service and staff were excellent though, I am local to sidmouth but would not have another lunch there.

Very difficult to fault this hotel - it was beyond expectations in every way. Great attention to detail (eg welcoming gestures in the room (flowers, fruit, chocs, bottles of water, robes/slippers) The staff were genuinely caring, respectful and efficient at all times. Always willing & attentive with a smile, but never intrusive. Brilliant location, views, service, amenities, food & welcoming ambience - particularly with the delightful Christmas decorations & twinkling lights everywhere & gentle background music. Well done Victoria!

A wonderful 3 night stay at the Victoria Hotel & Source Spa. Our first visit to this hotel and Sidmouth but hopefully not our last. The hotel is a lovely mix of traditional (uniformed doorman, pianist or quartet playing during dinner) and modern (wonderful refurbished Spa). The hotel is perfctly located; straight onto the esplanade for a stroll to lthe town (go left) or Connaught Gardens (go right). The hotel has fantastic views of the coast from its sunroom lounge (and also our sea view room).
