Stayed here for a night after two days at Legoland, you enter through the bar and there is a kind of reception beyond it. They tell you that there are no breakfast facilities and how to get into the hotel if you are going to be out late, but not how to get out in the morning, more on that later. They showed us to the family room, through a rabbit warren of passageways where the roof is so low that there is foam fitted to stop you bumping your head, now they do say it is a 300-year-old inn. The first impressions of the room were good, large and on different levels, with plenty tea and coffee. They tell you at time of booking that the family room does overlook the beer garden and can be quite noisy, there is a form of double glazing, but this was one of the hottest nights of the year, however, there was a fan in the room and a pint of ice from the bar turned this into our air conditioning system. Now for the problems, when we plugged in our phone chargers all the lamps started to flicker, this really needs checked. Then my partner said the carpet outside the shower room was damp, now this could have been due to the extremely loose hot tap in the wash hand basin, it was so lose you had to hold it with one hand and turn it on with the other, the water was scalding so when you held it to turn it off it burnt you, not good when you are trying to encourage your 7 year old grandson to always wash his hand. Also, there was no plug so you couldn’t mix the hot water with cold to cool it down. In the morning the more likely reason for the damp carpet was found, when you turned on the shower water went everywhere as the shower rose was old and broken, then the water didn't drain away quick enough, and the shower tray overflowed. I would have mentioned these problems to the staff in the morning if there had been anyone there, but there wasn't. The door to the bar was locked and there was a key box on the wall to leave the keys then you exited the property through an emergency exit, which led to a narrow passageway that contained the bins, delightful, then into the beer garden. The main door back into the bar was also locked and you had to work out that there was a gate that you could get out, but you wouldn't have been able to get back in if you had forgotten anything. One other thing, we put our grandson to bed early and I got a couple of drinks from the bar to take to the room, over £22 for a large G&T and a Whisky & Ginger Ale, now that is even more expensive than Legoland and I thought that would have been hard to beat!

The hotel location is very good, in the center of the town, there is a station and a supermarket downstairs, about six minutes walk from the train station. The room was clean, the double bed was small. There is a kettle in the room, but no hair dryer, no hair dryer, no hair dryer (> ﹏ <). I was out of luck. The bathroom door was broken. I almost shut myself in and couldn't get out. Fortunately, my mother rescued me (´; ︵; `)

It was an excellent stay, I visited with my family, during a family wedding & stayed at the amoxy slough. The hotel was immaculate cleaned, service was 2nd to none. The staff were brilliant Agnelo couldn't do enough to make your stay comfortable & enjoyable. Daljeet was a fabulous very attentive & helpful & what a delightful lady. Last but not least Laura was very obliging & helpful during checkout. Would always try to lookout & stay at the amoxy, after experiencing a wonderful stay comfortable & luxurious, very clean & tidy with great amenities.

The room was cozy and well-equipped, featuring all the essentials for a restful night's sleep. It doesn't take much to send your bar staff on a cocktail course and buy a ice crusher to make a margharita. Please don't advertise it if it can't be made. Very expensive too considering it tasted of soap and had big chunks of ice floating in it and a slice of lemon and not lime. I chose to stay for two nights as a destination hotel rather than 'just a hotel near the airport' so I suppose you could label a 'service' hotel but I have felt after being here for one day and one more night to go, it is not a place where people want to create or make relationships as I have felt it being rather a 'no' environment. I have done my best to be friendly but felt a little bit like more of a nuisance for wanting to create more relationships as a solo traveller especially when at 10 staff started to clear breakfast before I was even finished at 10.30 and then looked at a plate I had taken with me to my room as if to say 'you shouldn't be taking that' when it felt too uncomfortable to finish it in the main room. I may be unusual in my longer stay but I have still paid and a good customer and travel and stay in hotels a lot. The price is a good deal but that should still reflect good service. There should also be instructions on how to work the tv as I couldn't and then I met two ladies who had sat in the lounge for 4 hrs because they also couldn't work it so I helped them out. I train staff in friendliness and not saying they weren't but in my opinion, their needs to be a bit more approachability for a hotel near a major London airport with such incredible facilities such as a roof terrace overlooking the runway. It feels a bit like it has been forgotten and just left to be as it is as a very small part of the large Thistle Hotel Chain.

We arrived and parking was good and nearby. As a disabled blue badge holder, there was a good amount of disabled bays and it was free when I presented my blue badge at reception. Check in was quick and efficient. Only one of the two lifts was working, but the hotel didn’t seem too busy so this wasn’t a problem. We had a room for 2 adults and a child, so a double bed and a bunk bed. The room was small, but we only needed it to sleep and so it wasn’t a problem. The cleanliness of the room wasn’t good. The floor was so filthy, that we just threw our socks away because of how black they were. The mattress on the single bunk bed was absolutely disgusting. I have attached photos. The sheet was just a piece of material folded in half, and wasn’t tucked in or anything which is how we noticed the dirty mattress. It was late when we noticed it, so I sent photos and an email to reception, who immediately offered us breakfast free of charge. We declined the breakfast as we already had reservations elsewhere, and we saw that breakfast was very poor with little on offer. The manager then replied and refunded our stay and cleaned the room. The management/reception team were lovely and sorted things swiftly. We would stay again and have stayed in many Ibis hotels, but I will be checking the cleanliness of them closely in future.

We had a one night stay and have to say it was great! Stayed in a larger room on the top floor with views of the castle and Guild Hall, truly lovely. Plenty of room for two adults and two little boys. Very clean and comfortable. The shower was super as were the lovely smelling toiletries, really good quality. Excellent quality tea, coffee and Nespresso in the room (proper milk in the fridge!) We also had complimentary mini bar in the suite (soft drinks only) and because we booked direct 4 free drinks from the bar including alcohol-that was a lovely surprise! The service at check in and check out was prompt, professional and friendly. Breakfast was excellent, really good variety and delicious. The lovely lady (maybe Filipina-sorry I didn’t get her name) who was managing breakfast this morning at 7:30am was super friendly and an asset to the hotel, keep hold of her!! But have to say all staff we encountered were professional and friendly. Easy to park and £30 for safe, convenient over night parking isn’t bad for central Windsor. We are staying again in December and already looking forward to it! If you need to be in Windsor to see the sights and want them on your doorstep then you can’t go wrong with the lovely Castle Hotel.

What a lovely welcoming homely hotel. I went alone on a business trip and the owner was so welcoming friendly and helpful. The room was perfect size for just myself with everything I could need, a very comfy bed, ample workspace and a tv to relax with. Breakfast in the morning g was always served with a smile and was delicious every time. Very convenient area for food nearby with some really tasty options only walking distance. And a nice park and green area just five minutes walk away too. Also if you like fishing Farnham is very nearby 😉 I cannot thank everyone enough for making my stay so delightful especially the owner. Should I travel to Slough again for work or pleasure this is where I’d want to stay.
