There was truly a magic that was wonderful throughout our visit. Some much to see and take in throughout the rooms and history. The high points were the breakfasts and visiting with the owner. With the seasonal decorations, we will look forward to a winter, spring and summer visit.

This is a unique property. It’s a short walk down the hill to the historic downtown of Sonora. There are large sitting rooms that we were able to use during the day and in the evening. So much more comfortable than a traditional hotel. Wonderful breakfasts included. The furniture and decor are over-the-top late Victorian, but that’s part of the charm.

Wonderful and beautiful place to stay! Was initially trying to stay at Chicken Ranch but it was all booked so settled here and it was the best decision. Such a great lovely place with beautiful grounds and Rhonda was so amazing and accommodating! Already shared this place with others and will definitely be back again.

En upplevelse att minnas! Rent, snyggt, lyxig inredning. Så mycket vackert att se på detta hotell. Superb frukost med en supervärdinna/ägare som visar stort intresse för oss gäster och den magnifika historiska byggnad de förvaltar väl. Kommer gärna tillbaka!

We loved our stay. The breakfast was sublime. This is a value for a B&B in an historic location. They even have some outdoor cats and a couple ducks for furred and feather vacation friends.

Nothing less than 5 stars for this wonderful place. The ambience, the food, the charming owner, Rhonda Bess, make this a very special place and well worth experiencing for a romantic anniversary or date or just a get away with friends.

Absolutely wonderful experience. An amazing piece of history and attentive host. Breakfast was an art piece. Would highly recommend. Cool Rolls Royce in parking lot a bonus! Walking distance to downtown Sonora and 3 mile drive to historic Columbia. Make sure to visit Ironstone Winery up in Murphy’s.

I’ve traveled a good bit of the world, and this is one of the loveliest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The furnishings, upstairs and down, are magnificent with enormous attention to detail. Stayed in the Earl Warren room (I’m a retired lawyer!), with lots of light and gorgeous deep red walls. Breakfast, thanks to Rhonda, are delicious, over-abundant, and beautifully presented. Perfect place. Would certainly stay again if in or near Sonora.
