Thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea at Augill Castle. Good balance of sweet and savoury with an unusual twist. The castle has an interesting history and the decor reflects this. Hospitality was efficient and friendly. Met another couple who raved about the bedroom they were staying in.

Went for a lovely Afternoon tea and decided to stay. From going up the drive to going through the door, the welcome was perfect and welcoming. We enquired after quick look around and perfect service, we let them book the room, didn’t even ask the price as we felt we could trust them and we weren’t let down. We stayed in the Appleby room with an open fire all we can say perfect very good nights sleep and a lovely breakfast before we went.

With family and friends I celebrated my birthday in a perfectly wonderful setting. The accommodation impressed all my guests from four poster beds to a chest full of dvds and secret little rooms hidden in turrets. The excellent service and delicious menu choices made the evening perfect.

We enjoyed the afternoon tea experience. Lovely accommodating staff. The building and grounds are spectacular too. Not over faced with food, it was just enough and tasted delicious. We will return and comes highly recommended to anyone interested in eating or staying here.

Briljante plek! Zeker naartoe gaan! Alles was fantastisch! Super locatie, mooie en unieke inrichting. Het eten is fantastisch en bijzonder goed en attent rekening gehouden met allergieën. Hygiëne prima. Leuke mensen, informeel en heel vriendelijk.

Wow, this place is super cool!! Legit Castle and rooms are very nice and charming. Wendy and Johanna were amazing hosts and the dinner we had in the Castle that evening was fantastic. Our group played cards after dinner that evening and Johanna brought us drinks, snacks and even built us a fire to make sure we were cozy. They even did my laundry for me during our stay. Perfect place to stay if you’re looking for an authentic castle experience for a reasonable price and excellent service.

We had the most wonderful experience at Augill Castle. The room and property perfectly fit what I was looking for - a very castle-like room without too much modern but enough modern to be comfortable. The food was outstanding and staff friendly, helpful and accommodating.

Beautiful afternoon tea of ham salad brioches, mini prawn salad, plenty of freshly baked cakes and tea and coffee. A quirky out of the way castle full of interesting things to look at and comfortable furnishings to lounge on. We were made to feel at home straight away with a friendly welcome. Def worth a second visit.
