The owner was very thoughtful. They picked us up from the high-speed rail station, helped with our luggage, and even gave us some vinegar when we left. The service was so warm and attentive. My child was tired from walking, and the proprietress offered vinegar and a foot-soaking tub. We stayed in a private courtyard, which was absolutely fantastic!

My favorite place on this trip to Shanxi was Zhao Family Courtyard. Even though it was the cheapest, I always wondered what it would be like to stay in a courtyard like this while exploring the sights and ancient city. This time, I finally got to stay there! I especially loved the bed canopy; it gave me an surreal feeling, as if I had traveled back in time. The old courtyard was very quiet and undisturbed. The owner was incredibly kind, helping me book discounted tickets to Pingyao Ancient City and providing detailed directions to the city wall light show. He was very helpful but didn't bother me; we only communicated via WeChat, making me feel right at home. Zhao Family Courtyard is located inside Pingyao Ancient City, closer to the North Gate. Turning right after exiting the gate leads to the city center. I'm a little reluctant to leave now, hehe.

The owner is incredibly kind. They messaged us before we even arrived, offering to pick us up from the North Gate of the ancient city. The room was also really nice, and for the price, it's excellent value for money. There's a sightseeing cart right outside that can take you anywhere in the ancient city, and it's also a pleasant, short walk back to the guesthouse. The owner patiently explained how to best explore the ancient city, and even gave us a bottle of vinegar when we checked out – truly wonderful! The courtyard is also very beautiful.

The location is excellent, right in the heart of the old town. It's close to the main street and all the attractions. The place is super clean, the bedding is brand new, and all the facilities are perfect – not a single issue. I highly recommend staying here; I absolutely love the style. You should definitely check it out!

The inn is a historical building. The two-in-one courtyard is just behind the Majia compound. We are busy taking pictures as soon as we arrive. We live in ”childish”. Although there is no separation of dry and wet, we love it. It is sunny. In the morning, we see the sun and wine. It is very energetic. The boss is a young guy, the people are very good, because the old-fashioned lock is necessary to go out, others can not enter the house, so they trouble the boss to send supplies in the cabin, go back to get it at night. The homestay originally only had one pick-up or delivery service, and then the boss also picked up and sent it. Also help with the management. Great. I wish you a prosperous business!

The rooms are spacious, bright, clean and tidy, the host is warm and thoughtful, the facilities are complete, and the sheets and bedding are very clean. The farm food is delicious and not expensive and very delicious. The transportation is convenient. It is about 200 meters away from the entrance of Mianshan Scenic Area and the bus station (Mianshan-Jiexiu). Traveling is very convenient, it is very convenient to go to the surrounding Wangjia Courtyard, Zhang Bi Ancient Castle. (Self-driving bus taxi), the farmyard has a parking lot. The farmyard has four standard rooms, 9 sets of 3 rooms, and 1 suite for 5 rooms. In addition, the landlord has 2 farmyards near the same location, one is 12 suites, the other is 20 suites, which can receive guests at the same time. The landlord for breakfast, lunch and dinner can provide meals according to the tastes of different guests.

My experience staying at this hotel as below. 1. They provide pickup and drop off from the train station. The day before the Inn contacted me to make arrangement for the pickup. Then they arranged to drive me back to station on the day I leave. Service was efficient and prompt. Much appreciated. 2. I was able to use the washing machine to wash come clothes which was much needed. Comb and toiletries were provided. So grateful for these little necessities as I left mine at the previous hotel. 3. The boss upgraded me to a bigger and better room because it was the low season. The kang bed was so comfortable and firm. I had the best sleep so far at this Inn. I'm so happy. 4. The Inn is inside the old city and practically next to one of the city gates. Very convenient for sightseeing old Pingyao city. 5. Everyone very friendly and helpful. Boss also gave me a bottle of vinegar. Wish I could take it back to UK with me. 6. The price of this Inn is also very reasonable and affordable. 7. Pingyao is a beautiful, ancient old city. Worth coming. I highly recommend staying here. Very good experience. The owners are friendly and provide pick up at the gate entrance. Pretty courtyard and the owners shared a lot of information on where to eat / shop at. Would definitely recommend this guesthouse to those wanting to visit Pingyao.

We had such a lovely experience at Zhengjia Inn! It was a little hard to find initially but the location is exceptional, right in the heart of the ancient city of Pingyao. There was no one on reception when we arrived but we managed to call through the Trip.com app and they came out right away to help us check in. The hotel is gorgeous with a very traditional style, a lovely sunny courtyard and big rooms. The best part of our stay here was the hospitality of the family who run this hotel. They were so kind and generous! They annotated a map for us to show us where to go and how to get there, they made us a Western style breakfast in the morning and let us eat in their own home, and they very kindly drove us to the train station when we had to leave the next day. They were very friendly, kind and patient with us as we don't speak Mandarin. The bed was quite hard because it is a very thin mattress on top of wood so it might not suit people with bad backs, but it was fine for us! We would highly recommend this hotel!

I was very fortunate to choose Glory Homestay for my trip to Pingyao. Although it's outside the ancient city, it's incredibly convenient for getting around, just a 5-6 minute walk to the entrance, avoiding the hassle of traffic control within the ancient city. The room was clean and cozy, the bedding was so soft I fell asleep the moment my head hit the pillow. The owner is a 20-year veteran who was incredibly welcoming. He not only helped plan the route but also recommended many local favorites. The prices were very reasonable, only a few dozen yuan – truly excellent value for money. I highly recommend everyone stay here!
