4-Star Hotels in Shiyan

Yun Wai Mountain Residence is highly recommended. The hotel is located at the Qiongtai Scenic Spot, approximately 300 meters from the base of the cable car and 50 meters from the bus stop, at an altitude of nearly 1000 meters. This is an ideal location for exploring Wudangshan. The staff is exceptionally friendly and very helpful. I was repeatedly and pleasantly surprised by how much everyone cared for a foreigner without any knowledge of Chinese. The hotel's restaurant offers local and Taoist specialties. The food is excellent. The atmosphere is elegant and meditative. The rooms are spacious with fantastic mountain views. I felt very comfortable for a week – nothing was lacking. Bonus: the five cats also take excellent care of the guests, especially during nighttime strolls. Note: you must take the last bus to the cable car (Qiongtai) at 5 pm, otherwise you will remain in the valley (no exceptions).

I was very satisfied with this hotel. It's incredibly close to the visitor center; you can literally step out the back door and be there. There are plenty of restaurants, bubble tea shops, and even a McDonald's nearby, so food and drinks are super convenient. The parking lot is huge and free. The front desk staff were all very warm and patient. The hotel itself is clean and elegant. Definitely a place worth recommending.

Finally got to Wudang Mountain for some much-needed relaxation! This hotel truly exceeded my expectations. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The hotel's ambiance is fantastic, especially the large terrace – the view is breathtaking. On a clear day, seeing the distant mountains and sea of clouds instantly brings a sense of peace. The room itself is designed in a new Chinese style, with thoughtful details, and the bathroom looks very high-quality; it was a really comfortable stay. Beyond the beautiful scenery, the overall experience was top-notch! In the afternoon, there's complimentary Shenshi tea, perfect for sitting down, sipping tea, and chatting – so pleasant. Breakfast was also delicious, with a rich variety of fresh options that left me feeling energized. You can also catch the sunset over at Nanyan Palace. The biggest surprise was the free Tai Chi class! Practicing Tai Chi with the instructor on the terrace in the evening, with the sky above and mountain breeze, was incredibly therapeutic. The instructor was very professional and responsible, correcting postures hand-in-hand and patiently guiding us, so even beginners could quickly pick it up. The service throughout was superb, making us feel completely at home. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Wudang Mountain!

Let me start with the good things: the hotel has a nice environment with small bridges and flowing water, the service staff are very polite, the main dishes in the restaurant taste very good, the hygiene in the room is good, and the mineral water and other things are replenished in a timely manner when needed. Other regrets: it is right next to the main road, the noise from the transport trucks is quite loud, the breakfast is a bit monotonous, there might be a monastic training class in the hotel, as I was woken up by their music at 6:20 in the morning.

We had an excellent stay here. The room was great, the food was tasty, and the location/views superb. But more than any of that, the next-level service provided by the staff was perhaps the best I have ever received. We had a lot of difficulty navigating the Wudangshan bus system, hiking timing, etc, and the staff were always willing to discuss and solve problems for us over WeChat. Without them our trip would not have been possible. Highly recommend.

The location is quite remote, catering purely to tourists. Although it claims to be a four-star hotel, the room facilities are basic and definitely don't meet industry standards; it's more like a regional four-star. The biggest highlight is the excellent breakfast with a wide variety and good taste. For dinner, I'd suggest eating in town as the hotel's dinner is not good value for money. For those with a car, staying a bit further out might offer better value.

Since I was traveling with elderly family members and a child, I booked two rooms, giving me two opportunities to leave a review. My previous review focused on the hotel's facilities, which, honestly, feel pretty similar across most hotels nowadays. What truly sets this place apart is the service. The hotel staff was incredibly thoughtful. After hiking, my child's clothes were soaked, and we had no spare change. We washed them and hung them to dry in the room using our own hangers before heading out to explore Wudang Mountain. When we returned, we found a note from housekeeping saying they had dried our clothes and put them away for us. The staff truly pays attention to details. Xiao Zhou at the front desk was very efficient. I hadn't planned our itinerary, and she gave me excellent advice on how to hike with elderly people and a child more easily and effectively. The town isn't very big, and after watching 'Wudang Dream' late at night with my child, it was incredibly difficult to find a taxi. After quite a wait, I couldn't get one, so I called Xiao Zhou. Even though she was off duty, she helped me arrange a taxi to safely get my child and me back to the hotel. I'm extremely grateful for that. The restaurant staff also provided excellent service. They were proactive in recommending local specialties and were able to prepare dishes that were completely non-spicy but still incredibly flavorful. I highly recommend this hotel, especially if you're driving with elderly family members and children. It's a 5-minute drive from the Wudang Mountain Tourist Center parking lot and a 10-yuan taxi ride to the 'Wudang Dream' scenic area. The location is excellent and very convenient.

The front desk staff upgraded my room. The hotel has a great location, and the room has a balcony with a view of the sunrise. There are attractions nearby, and restaurants are right outside the hotel, making it very convenient.

The hotel's location is excellent, right below the cable car. The staff are also very friendly. We were able to catch the first cable car up to the Golden Summit the next day, and upon returning, enjoy a hot buffet breakfast, which helped ease our fatigue without having to hunt for food on an empty stomach. The observation deck on our floor also offered expansive views of the First Mountain, which was truly beautiful. The several aunties working there took great care of us, especially our housekeeper Cheng Hongxia and Auntie Yang Guimei. They were warm and thoughtful, anticipating our needs. Five-star rating!

The overall stay experience is very satisfactory! The quality of the Vienna chain is very stable. The check-in efficiency at the front desk is high and the staff is gentle and courteous. The European-style decoration of the hotel lobby is clean and atmospheric. The room is spacious, the sanitation is meticulous, and there is no dust in the corner. The mattress is moderately soft and hard, mainly for deep sleep, good sound insulation, and very quiet at night. The bathroom is separated from wet and dry, and the hot water supply is stable. The WiFi network speed is smooth and the office is completely enough. It is convenient to travel around and eat, cost-effective online, preferred for business trips, and will continue to book next time!
