There were Japanese staff there too, which was reassuring.
We were able to use the pool and tennis courts, which made for a fulfilling stay.
The breakfast buffet was also satisfying. I wanted a salad, but this is Australia, so I had to compromise.

Location is amazing, can catch 777 line at airport door and then tram and stop at the front of the hotel, shops, restaurants and nightlife all there, pool heated all good! Had a really good time!

I was a little disappointed when I first checked in. The corridor and the room looked very old. But gradually I found that this hotel is very cost-effective:
1. Good location, very close to tram, and below is the bustling commercial district of Surfers Paradise. It is also very close to the beach.
2. The breakfast is very rich.
3. The view of the sea view room is not bad. Although there is a building in front of it, there are still many sea views on both sides. Every day, you can see the beach at different time periods, the outdoor swimming pools and courts of various hotels, the flow of people on the street, and street performances. We got up early on the last day to watch the sunrise, and the sun was just not blocked by the building.
4. The swimming pool and spa are very good. The swimming pool is heated and the temperature is very comfortable.

6. This should not be universal. I booked a room with a city view and was given a sea view room when I checked in. I asked for a high floor and it was also given.
Disadvantages: Washing and drying are charged, each for five dollars, which is a bit expensive. In summer, I sweat a lot and often go into the water, so I may need to wash clothes every day. The elevators were too slow .
It was stopping at almost every floor going down
The bell boys in attendance for Dec 6 & 7 were very accommodating , helpful & respectful .
I liked the cleanliness of our room but near the elevator on the 23rd floor , the vacuum cleaner was right outside the elevator (on both mornings)) for almost the whole morning which was a bit unsightly because the wire was spread all over .
