Clean is small but super clean and comfy. Breakfast choice was good and changed every day throughout the entire 3 days of stay. The additional plus point would be the free laundry room at Ground Floor which you can wash for your clothes and dry them free. Staffs are polite and kind to assist you with any enquires that you have. All in all, a pleasant stay at City Inn Hotel (Taichung) and would return again for the same hotel the next trip.
Lastly kudos to staff - Emma who has helped to maintain the cleanliness of Room 701 throughout the entire 3 days. Appreciate your effort. Thank you 😊

Very good hotel. Walking distance to Taichung train station, miyahara and a shopping mall. The service staff is also very polite and friendly. Will come here and stay again in the future.

Location is very good, next to Taichung Railway Station. Opposite the hotel there’s a 24 hr eating place. Outside the hotel there’s a stall selling fan tuan (rice ball) every morning, it’s very nice and cheap. Walking distance to Taroko mall, Lalaport mall, Miyahara Dessert Store.
The room is small but clean and modern. The bed is comfortable. They have a laundry room for guests, it’s free. Breakfast is simple but good. Since it’s near Taichung Railway Station, so you can take bus anywhere from the station nearby. Taking bus at Taichung can be slightly confusing, but overall still ok.

Returned to Taichung for a repeat stay due to the great location next to the Taichung Train Station. Prompt and friendly service staff and great breakfast. Highly recommended.

Room is small but nice and clean. Bathroom is big enough with the necessary items. Location is near taichung station, via exit 2. Less than 10mins walk. Walking distance to malls. Will come back again next time!

It is very near to Taichung Train Station, about 3mins walk. There is a big mall nearby. The hotel room and space are clean and no odd smell. Their staff are friendly. I like the space at level 1. Cozy and free flow of coffee and ice tea!

Early check in not available despite rooms being ready, but there was a lounge to wait around in and books/newspapers to read. Water and coffee were available as well. Quite a few mosquitoes at the lounge. Breakfast available with a modest spread. Free DIY laundry service provided.

The hotel is just 3 mins walk from Taichung Train Station. Very convenient to access transportation & surrounding places of interest. There are also many eateries & a shopping mall within 1 km radius from the hotel.
The hotel staff are very polite, courteous & obliging in providing information to directions of places of interest.
The breakfast spread is good & food are very palatable.
Compliments to the housekeeping team especially Mr. Hank for keeping the room tidy & clean during our 2 nights stay at the hotel.

Building is still new & well maintain.
Good location: close to train station (Taichung Train Station. Pls note: This is a local train station, you can need to take this train about 3 stops, in order to reach to Taichung Highspeed Rail Station), This hotel also close to shopping malls (Taroko mall, Lala port mall), a lot of eating place around the area.
I have got my room upgraded (Thank you). Staying for 2 nights.
Travel to other places like Taichung night market & Mitsukoshi shopping mall will need to take bus. It's worth it to go these places, just use google map.
Good facilities: Hotel provide laundry machine and dryer, which is really useful to wash my clothes after few days travel from other cities. Hotel provide free coffee/hot chocolate drink, especially while waiting at lobby / do the laundry.
Hotel provide also a good basic breakfast.
Overall good experience and will stay again at this hotel if ever come to Taichung next time.
