Yongkang Market Place
Short stay over 2022/2023 New Year holiday weekend. Location was ok, about 10 minutes walk from a MRT station. Hotel was packed during the stay, the lobby, overcrowded small breakfast lounge and most places were too small to accommodate if there were more than a few guests at one time. The food during breakfast was very nice for me, and the staff were busy preparing and refilling the food that got finished very quickly. Most of the staff were ok, but would not interact or or help much; probably due to the amount of workload. The rooms were decent to good. Price was average to high, but also due to holiday period. One biggest unpleasantness was during check-out, with a crowded lobby and staff seemingly very eager for me to leave immediately after return of room card. No chance of leaving any baggage till later part of the day, and I got spot-checked and shooed immediately by the guard when I put down my bag to take my belongings, the moment I stepped out of the hotel entrance. The check-out experience and overcrowding during full occupancy, was unpleasant for a probably ok hotel.

I chose the hotel due to its location. It is across the road from the museum, has a convenience store close by, plenty of food places, and a Metro station is just 200m away with the main railway station just 400m away. My room had wifi/internet and a bar fridge. I stayed here twice and was mostly satisfied. Better rooms are on the front of the building. The back rooms have no view and sound carries between them via a light well. English speaking by staff is mixed. They do have a left luggage facility if you arrive early or are departing late. Not all staff understand such requests.

It is very near to Taipei Train Station where can be reached directly by Airport MTR. As we have booked a room of 20 meter square on 3rd or 4th floor, we were provided by a smaller room on 2nd floor. There is not enough space for us to open 2 luggages at the same time. The room facilities are not good for us. For example, hangers are provided but no places for us to use them. We are noticed that the hotel has free coffee provided, but it does not have. The hotel has a rule that they do not have room cleaning service every day. So when having used or almost used the only one toilet paper provided, you need to ask them to get a new one even in the midnight. As for the room cleaning, they only gave us the new bath towels. They had taken away the face towels!

Good hotel. Directly opposite xi meng ding so you’re one road away from the party but quiet enough to rest well. There’s free water, juices and cup noodles at the check in lounge. That’s always a plus point and stable wifi too! Strict on check in and check out time so please plan well

The location is very convenient, the service attitude is very good, there is also a 24-hour reception, the environment is comfortable, and there is coffee and milk tea in the lobby, which can be self-made at any time. Remember to go to the line to draw a lottery when you check in

Don't look at the appearance of the building, as soon as you step into the hotel, you will feel completely different. The hall is spacious, with chairs, ovens, microwave ovens, water machines, and various beverages for customers to use. You can even wash and dry clothes, which is very convenient. There are also places and toys for children to play. I like eating in the lobby while admiring the beautiful scenery outside the window. I saw that Taipei Main Station is very close, but it is a pity that the outside of the window has been hazy and stained for a few years, but the location of the hotel is very convenient. You can give it a try. said. After staying for a few days, seeing people of different nationalities coming and going, I believe even foreigners were introduced. All in all, I am very satisfied with this hotel.
