Came to Khao Lak to hone my mer-person metamorphosis skills with some fellow mer-folk 🧜🏽‍♂️ Srichada was the perfect fit for our needs. Unpretentious, clean, affordable, well located rooms. The beach is little more than 5 mins walk. Plenty of decent restaurants around (though many closed during current covid times). Comfy bed, new AC machines, towels, a perfectly sassy front of house host. Good stuff - would stay again, would recommend to a friend. It ain’t fancy, but the value for money is on point. The place was a little difficult to spot. Maybe they normally have a big sign but the current road expansion going on has moved it? Dunno.. anyway.. it’s where it says on maps so rely on that rather than looking for a sign.

Disappointed by this large and impersonal hotel. The room allocated to us was dark and overlooked a wall with a huge antenna nearby. It took 10 minutes of discussion to get a room with a better view. The staff did not take into account the comments and wishes . In addition, lunch at the restaurant was mediocre (pasty shrimp) and expensive for what we had. The cocktails were average. Only the breakfast deserves a good mention. I will not recommend this hotel despite flattering articles and the price of which is excessive compared to what one has the right to expect.

We have just moved after been at motive for 1 night the worst night we have ever had at a hotel ever as follows . Last night and this morning - because the walls of this hotel are so thin, my children were subjected to hours of rampant sex cries , moans & skin slapping noises, with the bed banging and squeaking for hours up until 1.30am last night and then again this morning it woke us up at 9am as they were at it again My 9 year old daughter was so uncomfortable with this she was in tears and very confused - the walls are so thin you could hear intimate details , skin slapping and heavy breathing with sex talk , it was embarrassing and scary for both my children we could hear everything through the paper thin walls. It was extremely awkward, very uncomfortable and an unpleasant experience . Just as that stopped last night at 1.30, a noisy family came back to the room on the other side, loud talking, baby crying and they put the TV on at volume- again, because the walls are so thin, there was no escape from it. Finally we managed to fall asleep only to be woken again at 4am by the baby screaming. We tried to talk to 2 different people about it at reception but they just shrugged there’s shoulders didn’t offer to move our room or a refund no help whatsoever . We have tried to raise it with agoda repeatedly but they are not interested and just offered me a £40 credit on our next booking and have still charged us £455 as we left the hotel early and said it’s the hotels policy not there’s even though we paid agoda in full before hand . To top it off the extra bed my son had been given ( which cost £13 a day ) was literally so hard it was like a block of concrete and the blanket had several holes in it. This was a terrible night of sleep as we were trapped in the room between the loud sex and the screaming baby. I understand these things go on in private, but the walls are so thin, you cannot get away from what is going on next door and children (nor adults!) should not have to be subjected to someone else’s intimate sex noises . It meant the holiday had started with a unpleasant experience that made it feel more like torture than a holiday and there is no way I would let my children stay in that environment again ( surely any decent parent would agree with me ? ) . None of us wanted to return to that hotel as things that should be private cannot be private in that hotel because the walls are obviously so thin . On top of this the hotel is in a very poor state and needs to be refurbished throughout . The rooms are dark & dingy and the mattresses are like solid planks . The shower is very poor and makes the whole bathroom wet and the floor like a ice rink . The pool has so much chemicals in it after swimming for half an hour my throat went totally dry and I had trouble swallowing and my sons as well ( we have never had this before at any pool ) - throat was fine as soon as we left the pool . We spent 10 nights at JW Marriott Khao Lak for our honeymoon and it was absolutely perfect for our needs! An utterly beautiful hotel with clean rooms and facilities and the kindest, most helpful staff I've ever come across in a hotel. Our room was spacious and beautiful, with direct access to the 2.4km pool - this was a great feature and it felt like we had a bit of private pool whilst being able to swim all the way to the main pool. The pool also adds to the feeling that you're in a village community rather than a commercial hotel, as we made friends with our ”neighbours” and would see them from time to time when we were out swimming. The hotel's beach is clean and stunning, the sun beds are thickly padded and comfortable, and we made use of the bodyboarding and kayaking equipment on our stay. The restaurants at the hotel were incredible! The main ones are Ta-Krai (Thai), Sakura (Japanese), and Olive (Italian). Before arriving I was a bit sceptical at how authentic the restaurants would be but the hotel has ensured they've brought in the best chefs who could bring authentic cuisine to Khao Lak. The sushi at Sakura was probably the freshest and tastiest I've ever had (albeit, I've not been to Japan yet, but it's still better than all the London sushi places where we live and even better than Nobu). We loved Olive restaurant too, in particular their Sunset BBQ evening where you're spoilt for choice on meats, seafood, sides, salads, and a full-on Italian cheese and ham bar with really delicious, authentic selections. Chef Enzo there was dishing out cheeses to us and making recommendations what to pair each cheese with and was so helpful (and the cheeses were incredible). We opted for the Breakfast and Dinner package and we're really glad we did as we loved going back to those restaurants over the 10 days. For lunch we'd eat at the hotel cafes, or out at excursions, or at local restaurants adjacent to the hotel, such as Phen's (delicious!). We also bought a spa package at Quan Spa in the hotel and booked in lots of treatments throughout our stay. The spa is beautiful and the massage therapists were excellent; it's a bit pricier than outside the hotel but the spa environment is worth it for that luxe feeling (and still cheaper than in the UK!). Overall, I don't think we found and faults with our stay at JWM and we will definitely come back in the future, perhaps for our anniversaries! And we would highly recommend it to all our family and friends!

We upgraded from 2 suites from a package TUI booking pool villa 838 costing about 42K THB for 14 nights in November and December 2022. 2 adults, and 2 kids age 17 and 10 so the privacy of a private pool was one of our highlights of the holiday. This is such a peaceful resort with beautiful surroundings and very helpful staff. Notably Emme, Gift, Mark, Tee, Big, Yuda, Tar, Pecky and Winai. This resort is not within walking distance of town / Biang Nang market area, and a taxi to go there will set you back 300 THB each way from the guys on the beach outside the gate. That's the going rate both ways so don't be conned by a chancer. In the resort there's 2 restaurants, one's a buffet and the Napalai on the villa side of the river and you can eat from both if you upgrade. There are 2 swimming pools, several bars and organised trips to temples, islands, local markets, animal sanctuaries offered from the front desk or holiday rep so you aren't cut off from civilisation by being in such a remote area surrounded by beach and jungle, which is actually a plus point if you're a surfer, nature or beach lover because this resort scores a 10 if that's what interests you. We didn't travel to Thailand for the nightlife, just to chill in some winter sun. There's ample entertainment just 10 minutes away from the resort, in town or Memories bar, but if you want boom, boom, boom and all night drinking go to Phuket instead. I'd definitely return, but not with children.

Was booked as a birthday treat. If you like organised activities and timetables then it's for you. On arrival they asked for passports, out to the car to get, then voucher, out to the car to get, then a copy of my credit card. Really was not happy with that and thought it unnecessary as they had details from booking as the room was paid for,it made me very uncomfortable. The main swimming pool was large but had only one place to get in so was a long walk. We ate outside the hotel at one of the many less expensive restaurants. Our view from our room in block 13 overlooked a dilapidated roof of the Thai themed restaurant, didn't compel us to eat there. The room itself was comfortable and clean and we loved the dressing gown, it's our thing. WiFi around the resort was good. Sunset memorable. A great place for families that like a package holiday. Not for us.

Despite being a long way out of Khao Lak, (one of the last hotels, 15 mins out) it’s worth going the extra distance. Staff so friendly and helpful; everyone in the hotel. Our poolside room was wonderful-space to relax and slip into the water and also spa jets whenever we liked. The big pool with bar near the beach was also a pleasure to be at. The food for breakfast and dinner was delicious and they catered for my food allergies very well. They gave options for level of spiciness for the Thai food. I had an injury and the late checkout til 6pm they provided for me was a final bonus. Highly recommend

Stay in this beautiful resort only if you’re ready to be spoilt by the amazing hospitality of their staff. It’s located in the middle of nowhere, but that doesn’t matter as the resort itself has everything you’ll need. We took the all in package. Rooms are luxurious, very clean, very well kept. The resort itself is very well kept, pool, beach, bar, playroom. Very family friendly. Stayed here twice, both during peak (March) and low peak(June), both occasions felt very different, i personally preferred the peak, however one thing that did not change was the hospitality of their amazing staff! A special shout out to Kwan for professionally handling the tantrum of a hungry 35yr old (me). Great selection of food in their restaurants too. And when you need a laugh, Sit@Aon will crack you up. Will always come back.

The environment must be very good, but the location is a little too far away. It took nearly 3 hours of driving from Kara to get there, and since Similan is not open now, there are not many people checking in at night. If you check in, it is recommended to stay in the hotel for a day and the experience will be good. It is nice to take pictures in the afternoon, but it is not suitable to go out at night. The attitude of the service staff was also very good. I arrived late and didn't have change for a taxi. They kept helping me get change and contacted me to rent a car the next morning. They even prepared breakfast for me when I left at 5 o'clock. Except for the distance, everything else has good reviews.

The room is very spacious and has a sofa to sleep in. The only disadvantage is that the shower water flows little and the sewer pipe is clogged. Overall ok according to the price.
