So we got the room cheap - so we got what we paid for - cheap. The room is like an old motel room - although the aircon was new. Terrible service. There are no phones in the rooms so you have to call their mobile or viber for room service. But no one is picking up on the phone line, and viber responses were terrible. I asked for an extra towel for my child in the afternoon and the tv remote was not working I asked for help via viber since no one was picking up. I had to follow up in the evening when we returend to our room, but by then we discovered another problem the water heater was not working. So I messaged and called no response, finally their excuse was "they were picking up, but the reception was poor". In the end we never got the towel or the remote, but I said never mind just fix the heater. And then they sent housekeeping, the guy said it was not for housekeeping yo fix but for engineering, and even said i didnt say what tbe problem with the shower was, when it was in the viber chat. Good thing the guy who came after was able to fix it. Food is terrible. First we tried kumintang - overpriced terrible food. A "set meal" for 500 pesos with meager serving and the beef was tough. I asked for extra egg and was charged 100 pesos for 2 eggs. And the in the morning - fly infested breakfast buffet. I placed my food on the table to get drinks, when i came back flies were all over it. Totally lost my appetite and didnt touch any of the food. I understand that they are probably trying to rebound from the pandemic and Taal eruption- and I am okay paying for expensive food but at least make it good. Overall, even if they have a good view of the Taal volcano and the salted pools are nice -I would stay away from this place.
