Our stay was amazing! Our guide, Fernando was the best! We saw so many incredible animals, and were sooo well taken care of. We fed monkeys, saw capybaras, black and white caiman, macaws, giant otters, 3 species of monkeys, and so many birds!!! The lodge was beautiful and clean. The food was excellent! The animals, birds, and trees were spectacular. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in every way! I went with my 10 year old daughter and our three days at monte amazinico was the highlight of our 6.5 week stay in Peru. I wish we could have stayed longer. (Also, the bugs are not nearly as bad as they say 😜).

We (8 family members) arrived on Sunday and Fernando met us at the airport. He was our guide for the next 4 days and was fantastic. Fernando’s knowledge about the region, history, wildlife and tradition gave us a much better understanding of Peru and Puerto Maldonado in particular. Monte Amazonico Lodge is very rustic and appealed to us as we wanted to experience the jungle and not necessarily an opulent resort. The only downside was the cabin construction. The cabin walls do not extend to the ceilings, so a 2 room cabin was shared by different families or couples without total separation or privacy. You can hear EVERYTHING in the other room over the wall. Many of the cabins were 4 room with the same wall situation. The outings were fantastic. Canoeing and wildlife on Lake Tambopata, Monkey Island, fishing, and visiting a native family. The highlight was definitely the canopy walk…zip lining and bridges. Fears were conquered here for sure. Meals were adequate and usually tasty. Remember you’re in the jungle. Hot and humid and no A/C or fans.

A great tour. Got to see lots of wildlife on the different activities. The food was so good! Three courses and very tasty. Free coffee and tea available. Rooms were nice and clean. The facilities are great also. Would definitely recommend. Fernando was a fantastic guide!

Fernando was an exceptional tourguide. He was very calm, structured, friendly and knowladgeable and has a great eye for the wildlife. The activities were also great fun. The lodges are also fine and the food is ok, but could be a little bit more sometimes. All in all, I would recommend the experimente, especially with Fernando as tourguide.

Nice Organization with excellent guide! Well planned activities where you see a lot of Animation. Sometimes you cant predict the nature but we were lucky. Our Guide Fernando was really experienced, good englisch speaking and helpful - recommendation to you! Improvement: more food in the dinner.

El calor es tan terrible que una vez que entras en el supuesto paraíso no tienes nada para enfriar tu cuerpo por un momento. Sin aire acondicionado l. Ni un ventilador en ninguna de las áreas en la que puedes moverte. La piscina tiene el agua con mugre de muchos días sin limpiarse. Los guiris se hartan a cerveza dentro de ella y si ya está caliente a las 7 de la tarde es una sopa. No recomiendo este lodge por muy barato que sea porque tu salud puede salir mal paradas. Y no hablar de olvidarme una mochila en el comedor principal y uno de los camareros le robó todo el dinero de la cartera. No había más personas en el interior.

Within the first 20 minutes of arriving we already saw so much wildlife! Fernando was so knowledgeable about the rainforest both plants and animals and it was so interesting learning so much about it. The jungle is very hot and humid and the lodge doesnt have air conditioning so be prepared but it didn’t negatively impact our experience!

Great experience fernando provided the best experience I could have asked for. I felt safe and I knew at ever moment Fernando would keep us safe wile still having a great time. I will definitely recommend the company to anyone else I know who will be going to Peru.
