On line booking was easy and the cost was very reasonable. The motel is close to everything in Tatamagouche, the decor was a bit dated but the room was extremely clean and the check in/out was easy. The heat pump ensured the temperature was perfect for sleeping. Would absolutely stay there again.

I was somewhat reluctant to book an older style motel on our road trip, but we made an impromptu stop in the lovely town of Tatamagouche and there was one room available here. After reading the reviews, we took a leap of faith and were very glad we did. The very courteous front desk man checked us in and pointed out the 24 hour tea/coffee center adjacent to the office. And the drop off box for our key in the morning. The room was in the newer section toward the end of the long motel, and despite being an older facility, it was very clean and well attended to. A ductless split unit provided welcome AC and the room was a good size with a couch, mini fridge, tv etc. Good shower with lots of pressure and hot water. And surprisingly , we could not hear a sound from adjacent units ( and the place was full!). My only reason for dropping a star was the queen size bed was not very comfy and creaked every time either of us moved. As we were leaving, we met the two industrious women who were cleaning the units. Their delightful friendly manner in the midst of a lot of hard work epitomizes the Maritime vibe. ❤️ I would recommend the Balmoral and would stay again.

Older motel and possibly the only motel in the village. The nightly rate was affordable and the guy on the reception desk was very friendly. It’s not fancy or high end but what’s important to me is that it’s clean, and it was. It’s on the main street and close to the many little shops and eateries on Main St. I’d recommend this motel to family and friends and would return.

We thoroughly enjoyed a last minute Saturday night stay at this motel! It was clean and so comfortable. We loved having a table for two looking out to the water as well as a comfortable settee. Coffee and bags of ice were an added touch. The friendliness of the owner was great. We felt welcomed and are so glad we stayed here. We highly recommend this motel in Tatamagouche!

We stayed for one night. It was a very clean and comfortable room with easy access to town as well as the local bike path, which is lovely. Breakfast is no longer included but that didn’t bother us. Their is a restaurant attached to the motel but we did not try that.

We would stay here again. The room was clean and having breakfast included was a bonus. Tatamagouche is a really nice place to visit with boutique restaurants and shopping. There is also a micro brewery.

I travelled to NS just after Fiona. My original plan to rent a cottage had to be changed because of power outages. The hosts at the motel were able help me with a suite at the motel. The suite was clean and comfortable, Pierre and Jeanie were extremely friendly and helpful,

This was our second visit, this time we brought our dog. The units are pretty sound proof, sometimes you could hear doors closing, but no voices or sounds. Laminate floors , amazing heat pump/air conditioning and a huge area out back along with the rails to trails makes this a repeat winner for us! Oh, the included breakfast is incredible. Forget your typical motel breakfast...this is eggs, bacon, cooked as you're seated and juice, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, toast and...homemade jam and coffee and tea. More like a European bed and breakfast than a North American motel deal. It's clean, and a great price and the location is ideal. Just go, each year they're improving the business, the outside needs some attention, but they are doing great things here!

Bright and very clean rooms with friendly staff. Motel is close to trails, shopping and restaurants. A coffee/tea station has been set up for guests and they offer a great little breakfast, including homemade jams!
