Premier Inn Taunton East

I've stayed at many premier inns which are generally good, but this is the worst I've experienced. The heating did not work in the entire hotel. The WiFi was not working. The room had black mould on the windows, the sink was cracked and the room was very tired and dusty. When complained the receptionist looked as though he didn't care and said write in with a complaint. I will have to reconsider using premier inns in the future

The room was a good size and very clean. It had been aired so was very cold but the heating system had it warm in 5 minutes. I don’t understand why hotels don’t have an ironing board in the room? In my 14 hour stay there was about an hour of WiFi and there is very poor phone signal here so I was totally out of touch. The staff were nice and friendly and the chap in the morning was really helpful with directions. Dinner at the Beefeater was one of the worst meals I’ve had in a hotel (I stay in hotels 90 nights a year). I ordered fillet steak which was a lump of gristle and fat. I chewed it for ages and had to spit it into a napkin which I’ve never done in a restaurant - I was afraid of choking if I attempted to swallow it. Half inch long lukewarm chips cooked a long time ago. Mean portions for the price. At breakfast the porridge was good but the breakfast buffet was cheap and nasty. The staff at the Beefeater were very nice but worked off their feet. I stayed at the premier inn at Heathrow and it’s hard to believe they’re part of the same chain.

Stayed last night in this hotel .reception staff very friendly and helpful .room very nice and clean and big .only downfall was the wifi not good at all but we survived watching the large hotel.the premier inns food over was outstanding for £27 each 2 course evening meal and a beer or wine or soft drink and all you can eat breakfast. Well worth trying thank you all at premier inn. Will return

Usual good quality Premier Inn. Room was lovely and clean and the bed is exceptionally comfortable. Staff were warm and welcoming and very helpful. It was a bit busy but didn't disturb us (even with window open). We had nice meal at Beefeater next door and even tough we hadn't booked they fitted us in for breakfast. Price was midrange but I would happily stay here again.

So so disgusting, me and my family checked into the hotel had the room for 10-15 minutes went to beefeater for dinner and went back to the hotel.. we were expecting a good nice time but I was completely wrong 🤣! Cobwebs all over the wall cracked plaster I want my money back!!!

When we arrived we had lots of issues with the key cards not working, the WiFi didn’t work at all and was told at the end of our stay we should’ve received a card to connect to a super fast WiFi in this case but wasn’t. We had our bedding changed and the old just left in the room, when I went to speak to reception she ask me to move it for her like it was my job to do so! We had more issues with the key cards, it was so hard to get hold of any staff! Not attentive or accommodating at all. Lots of wear and tear in the room, lots of other guests complaining too, the atmosphere was awful. Wouldn’t stay there again even if someone paid me. Stay somewhere else
