La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Tumwater - Olympia

The room is clean, the location is good, on the 5th roadside, but not noisy
Courtyard Olympia

What a wonderful experience we had in Olympia! The only regret is that we only booked for one night. The hotel is located just off the highway south of the city of Olympia. The room was exceptionally clean and modern, with hot water and complimentary Starbucks freshly roasted coffee. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The gentleman at the front desk provided us with a clear introduction to the hotel and all the necessary assistance we needed.
Red Lion Inn & Suites Olympia, Governor Hotel

Rooms are not air conditioned! This means that the floor-to-ceiling east / west facing glass walls let in sun and heat up your room like an oven. All you can do is open the sliding door 4” and run the pokey fan system. Expect severe discomfort in warm weather. The furnishings and decor are BEAT and the hotel is long overdue for a complete renovation. Saw one small cockroach in the elevator. Second elevator broke down while we were staying, making hauling our stuff in and out a chore. As others have mentioned, the breakfast is a cruel joke. No hot food, just bagels / toast / instant oatmeal. Coffee was out the two times I checked. Completely unacceptable. On our second day we skipped it entirely and went to a cafe down the street. Although parking is free, you'll notice that the top deck spaces always fill up first... this is because the lower deck is out of sight and SKETCHY. Access is not controlled and there appears to be zero security presence either. When I parked my vehicle on the lower deck early Sunday morning there were two ”unhoused individuals” in the process of dismantling an SUV a few spaces away from me. I didn't bother reporting this because it was clear that management was intentionally ignoring the trespassers. I highly encourage you to spend a few extra bucks and book a much better hotel up the street. This one is on its last legs.
Hilton Garden Inn Olympia

This was without a doubt the WORST Hilton Garden Inn I have ever had the displeasure to call home for the weekend. I checked in the day before as suggested by the website so I could skip the wait at check-in and receive a digital key on my phone. When we arrived, there was an “issue” with the system and I could not get the digital key. There was a line 10 person deep waiting to check in and 1 person at the desk. It was taking quite some time, so I tried again to get my digital key. Luckily I was successful the second time. Next, there was only one working elevator for a 5 story hotel. There was some type of sports tournament for teens, so the elevator was extremely busy. When we finally got into our room, I used the bathroom. I flushed the toilet and the handle broke! That meant that the water would not fill the tank and just kept running. I called the front desk and told them that our toilet was broken (I explained what the issue was). They sent up a man with a plunger. My husband told him that he was going to need tools and parts, no it a plunger. After 3 trips, he finally was able to fix it. It probably took so long because he had use the only working elevator! It had been a long car ride, so I was looking forward to some time in the hot tub. After waiting for the elevator for 5 minutes, I finally got to the pool/hot tub area. Just as I was about to get in, one of the kids yelled”No don’t, it’s freezing cold! I think it’s out of order.” I thanked them and proceeded to go back to my room. After waiting for the elevator (again), I wanted to fill my hydroflask with ice and just call it a night. The ice machine on my floor was BROKEN! Due to a disability, I could not just walk down one floor, so I had to wait for that one precious elevator. I got the ice, waited again, and was finally able to get back to our room. Hoping the next day would be better, we went to bed. I will say that the hotel was very quiet and clean. The next morning, we were looking forward to a nice hot breakfast (it was part of the package). We arrive at the restaurant and there is no hot breakfast. Apparently, they did not have a cook for breakfast,so we were stuck with a cold breakfast. They said they would have someone for dinner service. We had to go find a restaurant and pay for a breakfast we had already paid for. After a fun day with family, we returned to the hotel and the restaurant was dark. There was a sign apologizing blah, blah, blah. I ordered something from DoorDash. The entire stay was a complete disappointment and I will never stay at this hotel again.
TownePlace Suites Olympia

Stayed at the hotel for four days. The booked room has a kitchen pan, a sofa bed, and a sofa bed for 11-year-old children. The hotel also has a self-service laundry room that can be washed and dried for about $4. Parking is free and convenient, suitable for self-driving.
