A great experience! You can try to visit Sensoji Temple in a yukata after taking a bath at night. The Tokyo Skytree is just around the corner. The bathroom is very clean. Soaking in hot water can relieve the fatigue of a day's travel. Come out and have a popsicle. The bedding is very clean, and the room is large, with one bedroom and one living room, spacious. The English at the front desk is also very good. I will bring my friends with me next time. Full of details, no matter how big or small! This is the most unforgettable accommodation experience in Tokyo.

Clean, nice environment, friendly owner, just a few steps from Asakusa, but not noisy. The shopping street is next door, convenient for eating and shopping. The only drawback is that it is a bit far from the subway entrance. The facilities are a bit old and a bit retro, but this is not a drawback for me!

The room is full of period feeling. The overall feeling is very good. The location is great and the facilities are complete. It is very suitable for visiting Sensoji Temple. I will stay here next time when I come to Sensoji Temple!

It is really difficult for the Erbao family to find a Japanese-style hotel near Asakusa. Fortunately, there is this Kamo River hotel. The grandpa at the front desk is very kind and thoughtful, and can communicate in simple English. This hotel has been open for 70 years (of course it has undergone several rounds of modernization later). The key is that it is only a few steps away from Sensoji Temple and the location is unbeatable. The room is made of pure Japanese tatami and is neat and clean. Because land is really valuable in this area, the space is just enough for 2 adults and 2 children, and the bathroom is extremely mini. However, you can reserve a bath in the large bathroom on the ground floor in advance, which makes up for the lack of room facilities. I am satisfied with my personal test. If you want to experience a traditional Japanese hotel near Asakusa, I highly recommend this one!

The service is very good, proactively asking if you need help, and keeping the appropriate distance. You can see the Skytree from the door

I was a teenager in Japan in the late fifties and have been back many times since. I enjoy staying in traditional Japanese style inns (Ryokan). This was far and away the best experience I have ever had. If you are looking for traditional Japanese this is the place. The location is outstanding. Mere blocks from plenty of shops and restaurants. In addition when jet lag gets you up at 3am there is a 24hour Seven Eleven a block away and a 24hour McDonald's about three blocks away. The proprietor, Mr Kiyoshi Endo is unbelievable. Friendly, helpful and available at all hours. The place is clean clean clean and has a Japanese onsen (hot bath) that was perfect. As is typical in a Ryokan slipper type footwear and Ukata (a cotton Kimono) are available so no need for your own loungewear. The breakfast is traditional Japanese. Good and plentiful. If I could rate this place ten stars I would. I'm not sure if my name comes up on this review so it is Orlando Stephenson and you can leave a message on my facebook page if you want more information
Response from Property: Dear Mr Stephenson We are so happy to receive your wonderful feedback. It is so pleasing to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. I enjoyed the time I spent with you during your stay and look forward to seeing you again in the future. Best Regards Ryokan Kamogawa Kiyoshi Endo

My husband and I stayed at this property for three nights and had a great time. LOCATION: in Asakusa, very close to the Sensō-ji temple, close to the subway and the A line that goes directly to the airport. SERVICE: The property is on three floors with a lift. The rooms are those of a Ryokan, the structure and organization perhaps less so. On the ground floor there is a dining room with tables. There is also a refrigerator even if it is present in the room. The staff speaks English and is very kind. There is no laundry service. ROOM: ours was a very large standard room, with tatami. It was divided into two areas: at the entrance, after taking off your shoes, there was the area with the futons. Then, divided by sliding panels, there was a low table with chairs, TV, minibar and wardrobe. I think that if they wanted, there could have been more futons. An area was dedicated to suitcases with more "worn" tatami. The BATHROOM: The only sore point was the bathroom: there was the toilet right away while the sink and shower were together. I confess that every now and then we washed ourselves by opening the tap on the wrong side. There were dispensers for soap, shampoo and conditioner. There were yukatas to go to the "family" bath where you can wash yourself in a large room and then immerse yourself in the tub with hot water like in onsen or public baths. The bath had to be booked, at intervals of 30 minutes each from 4pm to 10pm. BREAKFAST: when we went, breakfast service was not available. It was possible to drink hot or cold tea and have some small sweets, but not a real breakfast. For us it was not a problem to have breakfast around and try different products every day QUALITY/PRICE RATIO: we deliberately chose this structure even if it is slightly more expensive than others, but very beautiful and in an excellent area OVERALL OPINION: absolutely recommended
