There are also dining places at Keio Plaza Hotel offering Japanese, international, and fusion cuisine. There is also a convenience store at level 2 that close at 2am for those who want to get some small bites, snacks or drinks. It is huge and because it’s located in the hotel, shelves are pretty filled up. The hotel's facilities, include a well-equipped fitness center and a relaxing pool (didn’t get to try as it is winter). The attention to cleanliness and maintenance throughout the property adds to the sense of comfort and well-being. Toyoko Inn Tokyo Shinjuku Gyoemmae Eki 3 Ban Deguchi

Shinjuku Area Tokyo|0.42km from Kurand Sake Market Shinjuku
I've been using Toyoko Inn hotel chain for many years and they are an excellent choice for travelers looking for a simple and real Japanese experience. This is a business hotel chain so don't expect anything fancy, but if you want to experience a bit of salaryman kind of experience, go for it. The value for money is unbeatable in my opinion. The check-in is late also for Japanese standards (4pm if you are not a member) so you might want to apply for a card membership online in advance. Members can check in at 3pm. Bear in mind that they are rather strict with this, so if you arrive earlier, leave your bags and explore Shinjuku. The single room itself was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, plus they offer free toiletries and nightgowns in the reception area. The room also comes with a kettle, a fridge and a safe. Unfortunately, I booked quite late so I ended up with a smoking room although I asked to spray it. However, you can still smell it. If you are a smoker that might be convenient for you (especially if you come from Europe where smoking rooms are a memory of the past). The bed was comfortable with a straw pillow which can be hard for someone who is used to feather pillows. Location: This hotel's location is very convenient, situated just a short walk from the metro shinjuku gyoen mae train station, not too far from the hustle and bustle of Shinjuku kabukicho, but in a relatively calm area. It's a 15 minute walk from Shinjuku kabukicho (5 minutes by train) and there are a few restaurants nearby. Breakfast: complimentary breakfast which is a simple Japanese breakfast made by two energetic ladies with a generous offer of onigiri, sausages, scrambled eggs, miso soup, sweet bread, coffee etc. You can also take this back to your room in a box provided there if you don't want to eat in the lobby. Overall, I highly recommend Toyoko Inn to anyone looking for a budget-friendly, comfortable, and japanese business hotel style place to stay in Japan. The hotel offers excellent value for money and the location is great if you like a quieter place near the hustle and bustle.

Location is the big draw here, hotel is situated right amongst many bars and restaurants. Great atmosphere. Like most budget hotels in Tokyo, rooms are small but perfectly fine just for sleeping and washing. Front desk staff incredibly helpful, let us store bags on arrival and then arranged luggage forwarding on check out.

Everything was great! Highly recommended! The location is just perfect and all clean. The facilities is what I loved the most! They give you a bag with clean towels, toothbrush, pijama every day. There is a self checkin and check out, but if you hace a problem there is always someone helping you at any time.

Great hotel, amazing staff - very friendly and helpful. English speaking at check-in too. Rooms have everything you need and is a good alternative to a capsule hotel for a similar price, but with more room and privacy. Breakfast is Japanese or Western style (eggs, sausage, bacon, yoghurt, sweetcorn soup) with choice of pastries and drinks. If you want to extend check out, it's ¥1000 per hour, up to 1pm. Excellent location for Shinjuku, Golden Gai etc. Lawson's and cafes etc also close by.
Imano Tokyo Hostel

Shinjuku Area
I recently stayed at Imano Hostel in Japan and found it to be a blend of positives and negatives. Pros: • Great Location: The hostel is situated in a convenient spot, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. • Unique Building: The property has the charm of an old building, adding to its character. • Welcoming Reception: The staff at the reception were friendly and helpful. • Additional Amenities: The inclusion of a coffee bar within the hostel is a nice touch. Cons: • Poor Cleanliness: Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the bedrooms and bathrooms was a major letdown. Both areas were poorly maintained and did not meet basic hygiene standards. • Noise Issues: Despite the appealing look of the reception and bar area, it tends to get very crowded and noisy. This significantly affects the ability to get a good night’s sleep. • Price Point: When compared to other hostels in the area, Imano Hostel is on the pricier side, which doesn’t seem justified given the issues with cleanliness and noise.
