Shodoshima Asahiya Reviews

This is the inn where I stayed for one night during the long holidays for Seto Gei. The hotels in Takamatsu City were so expensive that I didn't feel like staying there at all, so I decided to stay on Shodoshima instead. Among them, we chose this inn because of its high reviews. The inn is a 1-minute walk from the high-speed boat terminal at Tonosho Port. It's very close and convenient, and the bus stop is right next to it, so I think it's the perfect location for getting around Shodoshima. Check-in is smooth. The lobby is spacious and equipped with a souvenir shop. There are books, chairs, bug spray, and so much more to relax in. You can leave your luggage before and after your stay. Is there a tub of water at the entrance for pilgrims? Traditional customs inspire the desire to travel. There is also an elevator, so there is no need for people with walking disabilities. The room was on the third floor, 8 tatami mats, facing the road. Enough space for two people. There is a TV and hot water, but the bath, toilet, and sink are shared. Yukata are provided. The men's restroom also had hot water washing facilities. The bath is not large, but it is comfortable enough for several people to take a bath together. Although the facility is old, it is kept clean and the hostess is very kind. That alone is well worth the stay. The price is not too expensive, and if you choose a plan, you can also have dinner and breakfast. There is a convenience store nearby so even if you stay overnight without meals, it will be fine. If you stay on Shodoshima, you'll be able to go sightseeing the next day ahead of people coming from Uno or Takamatsu, giving you more time. Especially recommended for those who have business in the islands of Setouchi. This is an inn that I would like to use again next time.
