Mount Edgcombe

Fantastic breakfast, immaculately clean and good hospitality. A good location for visiting the sites of South Devon. The room was spacious and well equipped . Fresh milk in the fridge instead of long life UHT was a plus ! Booked direct with the hosts.

We had the most wonderful stay at Mount Edgcombe. The place has the highest standards of cleanliness and facilities. The breakfast was also amazing with a good selection of items, all prepared completely fresh using the best quality ingredients. Above all, Darren and Jo are the most warm, welcoming hosts who did not spare anything to make sure things were just right for us during our stay. Would highly recommend this place and would stay here every time we are in these parts.

Lovely week as always at this fabulous place. Good to see Jo and Darren again and sample their great hospitality. So many returning guests and no wonder,spotlessly clean rooms and a delicious breakfast,nothing is too much trouble. Can't wait to return

My wife and i were recommended this guest house by my daughter who had stayed there previously and we are glad she did. the room was immaculately clean and was refreshed every day. We particularly liked the little things like free biscuits and sweets which we thought a nice touch. kingsize bed was comfortable with enough pillows etc.. Free parking was another plus and there was plenty of room. My only very tiny negative about the room was the on suite was a bit small but in no way did it spoil our holiday. Breakfast was served at your chosen time and the cooked food was freshly cooked and was really tasty with a really good selection offered. Jo and Darren, the hosts, were really friendly and down to earth and made you feel really welcome it appeared nothing was too much for them. I would definitely return there when next i am in Torquay. all in all 5 star and i loved it.

We returned again for a weeks stay at this wonderful Guest House and had a brilliant time. Lovely rooms with comfy beds/TV/fridge/water/tea & coffee facilities, plus well cooked breakfast with good choices. Also, our stay ran into September so we were able to have two nights evening meals which were delicious! Big plus are the owners Jo & Darren who are happy to help you when ever they can, they really are a lovely couple. We have already booked our next stay and can’t wait!

Another excellent stay with Jo and Darren lovely friendly guest house, the hotel Is lovely and clean with a big car park and an exceptionally good breakfast also giving you various breakfast times so that you can have breakfast to suit either very early or later , the hotel Is situated in a perfect position close to the beach around 8 minutes walk and roughly the same to the train station which opens lots of options for exploring the area and different seaside towns, it is also a short walk into town to the restaurants and pubs all in all my wife and I love this guest house and I’m sure we will be going back, try it you will be very pleased you did the hosts are super people and will go out of there way to make you happy top marks from us thank you

Stayed here with my husband in July, also again in August with my husband and daughter. Jo and Darren are amazing hosts, very attentive and friendly. The hotel is immaculately clean and spacious. Amazing freshly cooked breakfast with plenty of choices. Close to all amenities. Lovely friendly atmosphere in the hotel bar, very well stocked. Will be coming back year after year, our favourite place

Great place to stay, rooms are very bright and clean. Fridge and coffee machine in room. Breakfast cooked nice and fresh. Hosts Jo & Darren were lovely nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend. Nice and close to beach and plenty of restaurants.

A last minute booking to visit friends in Torquay. We were really pleased with our decision to book this venue. We received a warm welcome and Jo and Darren were on hand to help with any questions or queries. Our room was well appointed and several extra touches made a big difference…fresh milk in the fridge, a small jar of sweets and bottled water. The facilities were first class and the bed and pillows just like home! Breakfast was served with plenty of extras and Jo was on hand to assist with servings. We would definitely visit again and the location near the centre of Torquay made it simple to access the promenade and town centre. Parking on site makes a difference too…less worry and better value for money.
