Plaza Hotel Capitole Toulouse

Toulouse City Center Toulouse|1.2km from University of Toulouse
As the picture shows, this is an IHG hotel in an architecturally lovely building on one corner of Place du Capitole, the main square in Toulouse which also houses the Town Hall, many bars, cafes, restaurants and shops. The staff are very friendly and polite and always wishing to help whether at Reception, the Bar or on Housekeeping duty. The bedrooms ( we had 536 ) which had 2 double beds, tv, fridge with daily water, tea / coffee station, a very comfortable armchair, desk and office chair. The bathroom was standard and met expectations. Housekeeping was excellent. The lounge / bar area was rather quaint but adequate and a fitness room was in the basement ( we did not use ). Breakfast was also downstairs and consisted of a hot / cold buffet style with a selection of cereals, fruit/ breads /pastries etc. Egg options available on request. Similar every day but more than adequate. Top Tip - if travelling from the airport, take the Tram ( T1 ) to Arenes and then transfer to the Metro to Capitole and then a short 5 minute walk to Place du Capitole and the hotel ( ticket 1.70 euros ...taxi 25 euros ! ) The hotel is also near all the main attractions with the main railway station about 20 mins away via Joan of Arc Square. Finally, the FREE electric minibus passes through the Square every 15 mins. Wave it down to stop and then enjoy a gratis tour of Toulouse to get your bearings. It will even stop just outside the hotel. Enjoy.

Located in a quiet small street, despite the proximity of the boulevard, 5 minutes from the chapter, 150 metres from the JEAN-JAURES bus stops,. Smiling, hot, preventive, listening, available staff; comfortable, clean, personalized room with air conditioning, all white corridor and lobby, wooden frames suspension decor, All this gives warm and a certain charm to the hotel, rooms with view or access to the patio, very comfortable bedrooms, additional cousins, cleanliness, quiet hotel, continental breakfast with good invoice; small bemol: room service not always top: 1 single wallpaper in a double room, no gobelet, all this claimed at the reception, that the room is not completely made every day doesn't bother us, but forced to ask to toilet paper on 4 e days, In the heart of the city, the hotel is very comfortable and very well located.

Our hotel which couldn’t extend our stay found us this one for two nights. The location of the hotel is perfect for sight seeing, metro right in front and streets that take you to central sights make for enjoyable walks. Hotel staff was very helpful and welcoming. The breakfast is a good value, offering juices, coffee along with a variety of fresh bread items, fruit cocktails , fresh cold cuts and all the other typical breakfast items for 10 euro, which compares well with area restaurants offering bread/ croissants coffees and juice only for 6-12 euros . The room was spacious , newly updated, clean with excellent firm bed and linens. The bathroom also had everything one needed and a good shower. A note here that the bathroom is frosted glass walls so everything can be heard and privacy may be a concern for some. The only reason I didn’t give the highest rating is that we had a non stop electric buzzing background noise and periodic clicking electric noise in the room all night so I could not sleep very well. It may have been an issue with our room only(201), apparently the last available room.Given we were leaving after 2 nights and no other options,I accepted it .

Toulouse South-East
👍🏻 First time in the hotel apartment, the studio is large with 1 kitchen stay and one room. The kitchen is super-equipped and you can do everything: from coffee to eggs to dishes. 👍🏽 Heating and air conditioning included. Stillness of the rooms. The hotel is well served by buses and metro to go to the city centre, and around there are shops, cake shops, supermarkets, kebabs or bars. 👎 There was a very bad litter and the covers were full of old customers' hair.

We stayed here for two nights while visiting Toulouse. It’s in a really good location, close to Place Dupuy, with good metro and bus links to the rest of town, not to mention a nice view over the Canal du Midi. There are numerous supermarkets, cafes & restaurants in the vicinity. Our room was small, but well-equipped, with a comfortable fold down bed. The communal air-conditioning was very effective during the heatwave taking place during our stay. The wi-fi was good, but the requirement to login afresh every time we returned to the room grew irritating and is out of step with normal standards. Despite our waiting until 3pm to check-in, the cleaners had not finished the room when we arrived with our keys. While the room has a kitchenette (ie. there are expectations of self-catering), no washing-up liquid is supplied (there was a sponge and draining rack). On enquiring, I was told that guests have to supply this themselves! This is ludicrous for a property marketing itself as an 'Appart Hotel'. No one on holiday carries washing-up liquid. Additionally, this was the only accommodation throughout our four weeks travelling in France that insisted on taking a copy of my passport at check-in – everywhere else was fine with my driver’s licence, so a slightly odd policy, rigidly applied.
