We liked everything about this place. The hosts are dedicated to making the visit a pleasure for their guests. We arrived by bicycle, so we had to figure out how to manage dinner and lunch. This place is down a few miles of unpaved roads, and the town doesn't have all that many options, so we brought along materials because we even had our own guest kitchen! We spent two nights, and on our open day we took the boat trip they offered. It was lovely and peaceful, and gave us a really good perspective on the areas we were traveling through. The rooms are spacious and comfortable; everything is very clean; there are lots of mowed trails for exploring the large property. And, of course, the breakfasts were terrific! I hope we get back here one day, for a longer stay.

This is truly one of the most unique and incredible places we have ever visited. What an absolute gem set in the most magnificent scenery with the most gracious and accommodating hosts. Randy and Julie are beyond kind and generous, Julie is an incredible cook, Randy continuously lights the fire to set the ambiance and they both have thought of every detail to truly make your stay unforgettable. We instantly felt like family and wished we could stay longer! Do yourself a favor and turn off the main road to visit this magestic place, it’s a must visit for sure!! We can’t wait to visit again.

The moment you step on the property you can feel the majestic energy. Then being greeted by Randy and Julie makes you feel immediately at home. Truly want my family to experience this pristine place. The expansive view of the valley below The amenities are endless both inside the home and out. Highly recommend for groups and team building destination stays. Incredible.

The Lodge at Trout Creek was a beautiful property inside and out. Randy and Julie were such gracious hosts. They made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. They offered suggestions on places around the lodge to visit. The last day we had to leave before breakfast because we had a 10 hour drive back home and Julie sent us off with yogurt and muffins.

We chose the Lodge at Trout Creek as a restful retreat in the middle of a 3-month, 6,000 mile vacation and trip. It was all we thought it would be and more! We chose the Snowshoe Suite on the lower level which provided not only direct access to the outside patio, but also was on the same level as the guest kitchen and BBQ as well as the common area for dining and relaxing. The lower level also has a large screen TV/movie auditorium, a library of books available to guests, an internet area, a fitness area with guest laundry, an extra bathroom—and probably more than I remember. Although shared with the other guests, it makes the Snowshoe Suite almost like a large apartment, a perfect arrangement for someone on a cane as the only steps needed are up to the breakfast dining room and to the parking area. We did not, as other guests when we were there, engage in any of the multiple outdoor activities while there. Instead we enjoyed the bountiful and beautiful breakfasts made by Julie, the peace and quiet of days spent reading and doing puzzles, and evenings spent making our dinners in the guest kitchen. And, let me tell you about the kitchen which is better equipped than mine at home with all the necessities [refrigerator space, freezer space, stove with full oven, microwave] as well as all utensils needed for cooking. It was so easy (and a dollar saver) to have our dinners in and enjoy the company of the other guests. FYI the grocery in Trout Creek, while small, has everything needed to prepare meals, including a deli with sandwiches made to order. As wonderful as the spacious, clean, and beautiful log lodge is (a trip to the Eagles Rest is mandatory), what makes this place so very special are the hosts. Julie (and Randy when not guiding) are warm, gracious, and everything everyone else has said about them. For example, with my cane, I could get up the steps, but needed to use both hands getting down. Julie always seems to be Julie-on-the-spot each time to take the cane back down the steps for me—as was true each time we needed something—but then not in your face when it was down time. I don’t have more superlatives than other reviews have left. Just come and experience one of the best places to relax, explore what Montana has to offer (or enjoy the peace), and be pampered by hosts really care.

The Loge was a 5 stare experience! I stayed for almost a week and enjoyed every moment of it. Their hospitality made me feel like family at the end of the week and it was such an enjoyable atmosphere. Every morning breakfast was top notch with a beautiful view of the mountains. I would definitely recommend this to someone who is looking to get away and enjoy the mountains for a few days. I would personally love to come back to the Lodge.

I was supposed to visit the lodge with a friend but unfortunately plans changed and I went solo. It turned out to be an unbelievable experience thanks to the very warm and wonderful hosts, Julie and Randy. They were so friendly and caring as they greeted me at the front door like I was a close family member. I stayed in the Continental Divide Suite where I slept in the most comfortable bed! I truly enjoyed every morning waking up and going downstairs for a great cup of coffee and the beautiful breakfast buffet. Julie is so conscientious and makes sure each guest is well fed prior to heading out to explore for the day! I woke up one morning to see an elk outside my window. The Lodge is absolutely immaculate! You can tell Randy and Julie put their whole heart into caring for the entire property both inside and outside. I can’t wait to plan another visit this winter!
