My wife and I had an awesome time at Tubagua Ecolodge. Everyone was super friendly and accomodating. Tim the owner is good for a few laughs in the evening with his rotating cast of friends. Tacha and her husband are super nice and helpful with trip and excursion planning. Tacha hooked us up with an awesome crew of taxi drivers based in Puerto Plata to explore the island. A shout out to Norma, Wendy, and the rest of the kitchen crew. They were more than able to accomodate our mostly plant based diet. If you want to REALLY see the DR, this is the place!

I cannot do any other thing than to totally recommend this amazing and beautiful place. The staff who worked their, Tasha, Yess and Tim and all the other members made this place an authentic and real Dominican expercience I will never forget. Will definately come back at one point. The view is absolutely stunning and something you will fall in love with big time. If it is something I would like to complain about is that it is a little bit noisy with the road next to most of the rooms. So bring earplugs for which I didnt hehe. But it is a small complain in an other terrific stay I had. Many thumbs up!

We had the most wonderful time here. Perfect people and perfect scenery! The coffee process was truly interesting and enjoyable. And the coffee tasting and lunch were especially scrumptious. Would definitely do this tour and come back again! Such friendly people too!

Très mauvais séjour. Je déconseille.
Très mauvais séjour. La réalité de l'établissement est très loin des photos mises en ligne. La piscine n'est pas entretenue, la propreté des douches est douteuse, l'ensemble de l'entretien des installations laisse à désirer. On est loin de l'esprit d'origine des écolodges : accueil des plus banal ! Mais pour un prix loin d'être économique. Comment confondre éco-tourisme avec éco-foutisme ! Je déconseille.

Tim and his staff are very welcoming. The setting is beautiful. The rooms are rustic but nice. We did a toured hike to a waterfall. The guide was very interesting and informative. The food was excellent. It was a unique experience. We will be back.

I love Tubauga Ecolodge. This was my fourth time staying there and I can't wait to go back! Tasha (who checked my friend and I in and runs things) was wonderful, kind, and welcoming. The food was amazing. We were only planning to eat a couple of meals there, but the food was so good, we opted to eat most of our meals there. Kudos to the chefs. Tubagua Ecolodge is a real gem. Aside from excellent hospitality and delicious food, it offers stunning views, awesome and comfortable rooms, and adorable four-legged companions. It is the perfect place for a relaxed getaway, and an excellent home base if you want to explore around the north coast but have a calming place to return to. Thank you to everyone at the ecolodge who made my friend and I feel so welcome. I wish I had had more time there.
