Africa Safari Selous Nyerere National Park

This was a dream holiday that exceeded all expectations. We spent 3 nights in one of the fabulous bungalows. It was well equipped, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. We had a few visitors like a frog in the wc, but we were in the middle of the bush, so it was all part of the fun! All of the staff were incredible, and we always felt safe in the knowledge that the Maasai were out and about keeping guard, ensuring that any stray water buffalo didn't cause any trouble! The food was great, far better than we expected. The bush walk with the Maasai was brilliant, fun and really interesting. We learnt so much about these wonderful people. And as for the 2 days we were on safari. Just wow!!! Dennis our guide (and Innocence who was also with us on one of the days) was incredible. He looked after us, fed us and ensured that we saw everything we wanted to. Lions, elephant, giraffe, Hippo, leopard and the list goes on. A month home and we're still on cloud nine. A magical experience that both us and our friends who we travelled with will never forget! Thank you all for making dreams come true!!!

The place is amazing, you can really feel Africa staying here. Food is good, a group of Masai is in the lodge everyday to protect the guests especially at night. We did 2 Safari, one during the day and one at night, we were able to see every animal we wanted to see, we even catched lions haunting and eating. Highly recommend this experience here! Everyone is very friendly ❤️

We had 2 days with our guide Gabriel and saw pretty much all there is to see. Skillful driver and extremely friendly. You could tell he wants to make the most out of each drive. We visited many places and lunch was excellent. Recommend to go with Gabriel.

Right on the edge of National Park, met at airstrip by camp guides and taken to camp. Lovely bungalows spaced nicely apart, swimming pool, bar and restaurant. Food and drinks really good but make sure you take cash as no cards accepted. Staff all super friendly and never seem to be off duty. Everyone smiles and are really polite. Because of where you are take plenty of reading material as no TV which is really no great loss. It's lovely to sit in the bar reading a book and being in bed before 10pm (probably just us)Everything very informal and relaxed. Camp sometimes visited by animals and staff happy to explain all about them. No fridge or kettle in room due to animals but again no great loss. Bush walks with guides and Masai really informative, explaining all about medicinal/poisonous plants, also taught how to make fire and look for animals tracks. Game drive superb couldn't have wished for better. Guide Juma was brilliant, really knew his stuff and managed to find lions, elephant, giraffe and loads of others. Mid morning stopped for coffee on the bonnet of safari truck! Lunch provided and picniced in the open bush which was amazing. Would definitely recommend but be prepared for early starts, flight from Zanzibar means being at reception of hotel at 4am and return flight 6am. Flight only 30 mins but traffic not great in Zanzibar even at that time!

We loved our safari experience! The ‘airport’ is an experience in itself and we were welcomed straight away by our guide Nasri. Our bigger luggage was transported to the hotel and we went straight on our safari. Nasri went out of his way to find the bigger animals for us and gave tons of info. We felt totally safe. He also listened to requests and we had great fun! In all a great experience about which we will talk for a long time!
