This is an old-style hotel. Now called the guest house. One-story bedrooms are located next to each other in a row, forming an area for individual guests and families.
I'm here for 3 days. The room I rented was room number 3: 2 adults, with 1 extra bed for children. Everything in the room is very complete: hair dryer, ceiling fan + yellow light, air conditioner (cool weather so I never used it), TV, hand sanitizer. Wooden cabinet holds: cooler, microwave, cups, cups, plates, spoon - fork - bread knife, 1 glass bottle of filtered water, tea, coffee, salt, pepper. Insect spray, room freshener, shampoo - conditioner - shower gel, bar soap, cotton balls, cotton swabs, button needles, towels (no head towels, face and hand towels), foot towels bathroom, wooden table + sink + wooden chair, with airy window, straight shower faucet and portable faucet, tile shower seat. Dirty carpet at the main door, no slippers (the antique tile floor is a bit cold). Nice little trash can. Utensils are all made of wood. Table with makeup mirror + chair, long wooden table next to the window wall, 2 bedside tables with 2 white night lights. The wooden wardrobe hangs and arranges clothes with a mirror in the middle for an ironing board, linens and ironing board. The bed is covered with clean, soft white sheets, with an additional light gray felt blanket in case the guests need to cover themselves in cold weather. The room is spacious and comfortable, the bathroom is spacious and comfortable, the toilet is always clean with a small trash can next to it. In front of the room there is a small covered yard for 1 table and 2 chairs with cushions. There is a charcoal grill, a charcoal burner for the cold season, and white ceiling lights. The entrance has 2 floors. The top can be opened for ventilation. In front of the room is a large shade tree, wooden benches to sit on, and next to it is the path to the family room.
Breakfast time is 7am to 10am.
Room cleaning time is from 10am.
Check-out time is before 10am.
The space here is so peaceful and airy. Friendly boss. Staff cheerful and enthusiastic.
The local breakfast is also rich and delicious. The dining room is very beautiful and has a classic style. I like it so much.
The swimming pool is cleaned but no one uses it. There is a bar area, a common fireplace area, an area to sit and drink tea indoors and outdoors, a swimming pool area, and a BBQ area. Cool garden. Spacious parking. The air is gentle and fresh.
However, the owner has 2 dogs, 1 very large dog that is 11 years old, so the reception area smells like a dog. Anyone who doesn't like it will feel dirty and the boss will also be old. He came here from London to live and do business. During the week there is 1 office staff and 2 kitchen and housekeeping staff. On Sunday there is only 1 kitchen and housekeeping staff.
They are all very friendly. There are always guests. They came by car from other places. They are also very nice. Meet us and greet us happily.
This place is about 15km from Durban center. Uber fare is about 160 Zar. Uber here does supermarket ordering 😊 like Grab Vietnam without additional shipping fees.
In front of the gate of HoneyPot Guesthouse in the morning, there are monkeys running and playing outside in groups. Birds fly. Cool green grass. Looking away is the highway.
I am completely satisfied with this place.
If you have a chance to return to Durban. I will visit Umhlanga and stay here again.
Wishing the boss many guests.
Wishing guests always satisfied and comfortable when coming to this place.
Goodbye. See you again.
😍🙏❤
