Escape the city with a great relaxing holiday. Really enjoyed our stay. Professional service and hospitality. The staff are discreet and welcoming. The animals and views were amazing. Excellent facilities and well managed.

Beautiful scenery set in the Southern Drakensberg with stunning natural views and wildlife around. Variety of birds were an u expected joy. Lodge was perfect. Was perfect spot for rest and rejuvenation. Would highly recommend.

It is not easy to write a review for Sani Valley Nature Lodges. The area / location is beautiful and has a very special atmosphere. Our chalet was very spacious with two bedrooms each with its own bathroom and with a stunny view over the lake. The furnishings were okay, but not more, in addition the electricity "concept" was very strange. But this is not the point.... we had to order our dinner in advance and when we arrived the food was place in a kind of oven to be kept warm. No idea how long it has been in there before we arrived. When asking for some drinks we have learned that it is absolutely okay to drink the water from the tab. Nothing else was offered with the explanations that the shops are so far away. If they do not offer drinks, they should mentioned this explicitely when they send you the menu in advance. Then, at least, you have the chance to bring something with you. Breakfast was the worst we had during our whole trip; nothing special with more or less pure quality. The breakfast was served in a room which was not very nice, not so clean and the staff was really unambitious. In total, the location is beautiful, the chalet nice, but simple, the food average... which all is not problematic. But the price is far too high for what they offer.

We had an amazing stay at the lodge. The bushman cabin was well equipped and nicely decorated. We especially enjoyed the jacuzzi on our porch overlooking the dam with the beautiful mountains in the background. We'd recommend this accomodation to anyone looking for a place to stay close to the Sani Pass! Thanks also to Gareth, Sabelo and the team for making us feel at home and for all your help!

We had a most memorable and tranquil stay in the midst of nature! If ever you need a break from the hustle and bustle of the city this is the place to be! Quiet, peaceful and secluded.
