Hotel Geulzicht heeft een nieuw restaurant, en dat is van een wereld klasse! Wij namen de Carpaccio met oosterse twist, gekonfijte eendebout en tonijn als nagetecht hazelnoot mousse met sabionschuim!! Alles een dikke tien! De chef kwam bij het opdienen aan tafel om uitleg te geven. Je hebt hier echt het gevoel van Gast zijn! Grote klasse, Michelin waardig! Voor een zeer betaalbare prijs

Wij hebben heerlijk gegeten in het restaurant van Het Geulzicht Hotel in Schin op Geul! Prima keuken. Daar staat een jonge, gepassioneerde chef, die zelf uit kwam leggen welke lekkere creaties hij op ons bord getoverd had. De tartaar van zalm bijvoorbeeld was heel verrassend van smaak. Echt een aanrader! De gekonfijte eendenbout in sinaasappelsaus eveneens. Het dessert van chocolade, hazelnoten en sabayon zag er heel mooi uit en dat niet alleen …. Ook de andere gerechten mochten er wezen. Tel daar de fijne, prettige bediening en de gezellige, rustige ambiance bij op en je hebt de ingrediënten voor een fijn verblijf met lekker eten voor een goede prijs-kwaliteitverhouding. Aan te bevelen!

Plezierig hotel, beetje gedateerd. Erg vriendelijke bediening en staf. De kamers waren voldoende en schoon. Geen televisie op de kamer. Douche een beetje krakkemikkig. Er is ruimte om je eigen fiets te stallen. Het hotel ligt rustig direct aan de geul

Rustig gelegen aan de Geul biedt dit hotel een warm welkom. In de schone kamer met heerlijke bedden vind je in het ‘houten boek’ de persoonlijke verhalen van de eigenaar, waarin hij de interactie beschrijft tussen de omgeving, het hotel en hemzelf. Alleen al het lezen van deze prettig geschreven verhalen geeft een grote meerwaarde aan dit hotel. Dan besef je onder andere de meerwaarde van het ontbreken van een TV, waardoor je het ruisen van de Geul kunt horen. Geniet van de gastvrijheid en het heerlijke ontbijt met koffie van zelfgebrande bonen. Aanrader!

We wished we could stay longer! Everything has been thought of for a comfortable, friendly stay. The sheets are so decadent and everything is immaculate. Breakfast was delicious and we loved the extra effort made with the Santa decorations and stories! Thank you from two Aussies and a Dutchman!

The hotel is wonderfully located right beside the river, very close to nature. It is very quaint and room was very clean. Pleasantly surprised to find an elevator in the 3 storey building, very thoughtful. Breakfast was huge and excellent. Owners were very nice. Just 10 mins drive away from town Centre where all the attractions are located.

This wasn’t the hotel we thought we were booking a room at online, but we are happy we did. This certainly is not the romantic castle the TripAdvisor shows you. This is a quaint mid-century hotel along a romantic stream. In the room you will find a small book written by the owner of his various trials and tribulations refurbishing and getting the hotel into service. His story telling is highly entertaining. The room was small but functional, overlooking the stream that runs alongside the property. In decent weather there is a couple of outdoor areas where you can enjoy a fire in the fire pit, share a drink, or just enjoy relaxing by the stream. The Italian restaurant just 50m away is closed on Tuesday so we drove into the village and enjoyed dinner at one of the local brasseries. After that we returned to the hotel and joined some of the other guests in the bar/breakfast room and socialized with each other while sipping wine or beer. A young lady, who I think was also a guest, played the piano for a while. Another couple played checkers while we spent most of our time talking with the evenings host. This is what we really enjoy most out of travelling. Meeting new people and having an enjoyable conversation. There is a TV in the common room but not the guest rooms. And I think that is a ‘Good thing’. Yeah, we enjoyed the stay.

Hotel is net geopend en we horen bij de eerste gasten. Wordt gedreven door een enthousiast en vriendelijk stel. Kamer is prima, fijne bedden en goed sanitair. Ontvangst was allerhartelijkst; we werden buiten al opgewacht en kregen na bezichtiging van de kamer wat te drinken aangeboden. Ontbijt de volgend ochtend was ook goed. We kregen per persoon een bord met twee belegde stokbroodjes, een croissant, een gekookt eitje, boter, jam en yoghurt met vruchten en cruesli. Ook was het mogelijk om iets anders te vragen. Best luxe. We vermoeden wel dat er een ontbijtbuffet neergezet gaat worden bij meer gasten tegelijk. Enige wat een beetje tegenviel, was dat de kamer slecht te verwarmen was. Maar daar heb je 's nachts tijdens het slapen geen last van, omdat het beddengoed lekker warm is.
