Nice hotel, great staff, well located. We stayed for three nights. We are a family of four with two older teens. Initially had to swap rooms but rooms were clean and comfortable. We didn’t eat at the hotel, preferring to dine in Yaletown, a few minutes walk away, for dinner and we found plenty of good breakfast options over beyond UBC. We did a bike tour which was excellent, we covered downtown and Stanley park also learnt about the history of Canada, we went to the baseball via the train which was fun and we took in the amazing views at the lookout, it wasn’t too busy at all there. Avoid Granville St.

Great hotel. We were upgraded to a suite without asking! Everyone was very helpful, and breakfast! Great location. They arranged a taxi for us to go to BC FERRY. Told us approximately how long it would take. Even told us a few restaurants we were interested in. We would stay there again.

We loved this hotel. It was clean, the staff was friendly and very helpful. It is well located and walking distance to everything. There was an error from our third party booking agent, and the front staff looked into it, and called me up immediately to tell me it was rectified. Thank you.

This was perfectly adequate for my one night stay prior to a cruise. The location is easily accessible from the train from the airport and less than a mile from the cruise terminal. It is no frills but clean. I had a shared bathroom which was a concern but it was fine. You share the bathroom with another room and you will hear them in there but, again, it was one night. There was a sink in the room which was good as you didn't need the bathroom for basic teeth brushing, etc. If I was doing an overnight in Vancouver again, I'd go back.

Filthy. Very badly maintained. Horrible management. I booked this place because of the great location and full kitchen. I travel a lot but am not wealthy, so always try to save some money by preparing meals in my room at least part of the time. But there was no way on earth I would prepare meals in this place. It was filthy dirty. I had to wash the counters, sinks, tables, microwave, shower, even the closet rod, light switch plates, lamp knobs, door knob, air conditioner controls, refrigerator door handle, refrig door, and refrig interior, etc. etc. I had to wear shoes the whole time because the floor was disgusting - even had caked glop in several places - and there was at least one sharp metal piece on the floor (see the picture); thankfully, I saw it before stepping. But obviously, no one had vacuumed. The window air conditioner was behind a full curtain (which trapped the cool air) so I had to move the curtain out of the way. Stupidly, I used my bare hand to do so. The curtain was so dirty it actually left dark streaks on my hand. I had to close the curtains again to have privacy at night due to the configuration (see picture). I took pictures and went down to the lobby. I asked for a way to contact the owner. The nice man at the counter said, quite candidly, “I get it, but the owner doesn’t care.” The next day, there was a different man at the counter, so I asked again to contact the owner. This second man (not nice at all) asked why and I told him. I tried to show him the pictures but the guy refused to look. He wouldn’t give me a way to reach the owner, either. He said I could change rooms but I had spent about 90 minutes cleaning the room I was already in, and nothing indicated any other room would be different. I explained that to this second man, and he said that if I didn’t want to change rooms, I should stop complaining. Seriously! On the second night, the toilet broke. The bowl filled with water and didn’t recede. I called down to the lobby to ask for a repair. The man on the phone said there was no one to fix it at that hour (it was about 7:15pm) so I’d have to wait until morning. I said I could not and would not; I would certainly have to use the toilet over the next 14 hours. The man said he didn’t know what to tell me. I told him if he didn’t get someone in to fix the toilet, I’d go down in the lobby and complain loudly about it, no matter how many people heard. Finally, the guy said he’d see what he could do, and would call me back. He did ‘t call, but after about half an hour, a man came to fix the toilet. He spent over an hour working on it, which included leaving twice to go get parts. Eventually, the repair was done. The man told me a piece of the mechanism had crumbled because it hadn’t been replaced in a long time. The repairman was a nice guy. He even rejected the tip I tried to give him. The location was excellent. A little noisy because restaurants were open late and there people and activity until at least 1:0

Paradox Hotel is one of the best hotels we have stayed at in a long time. We typically stay at Four Seasons, Fairmont’s, and other hotels similar to these types of hotels. Paradox had first class service starting at the valet (Marty), along with all individuals at the front counter. To top off our stay, we had Andrew from concierges that took great care of us, as he went above and beyond for my wife’s 40th birthday celebration. -I will be writing a person letter to Andrew, for all the amazing things he did to make our stay so memorable. It’s hard to put into words the results of our trip, as all of it was amazing, from the lounge (Megan/Morgan/Vanessa were all fantastic and were extremely friendly. To the Mansion nightclub, where everyone was fantastic and provided amazing service, as we decided to get table service for the birthday celebration. If anyone is contemplating staying at the Paradox, do not think twice about booking, you will not regret it. Also, amazing walking distance to so many amazing shops and restaurants. All-in-all, we will be back to see all the amazing people we met and we look forward to our next trip to the Paradox Hotel.

The moment I walked into the lobby and was greeted by the staff, I knew it was going to be an incredible trip. To start, the location is amazing. Walking distance to so many restaurants, coffee shops, and stores. What made the trip extra special was the head concierge, Alexsander. It was my first time in Canada and he told me so much about the history of some buildings and recommended all the places to go. He even took the extra step to walk my friend and me to Palate Kitchen around the corner to make sure we didn’t get lost and introduced us to the hostess. It was such an incredible level of customer service that I haven’t ever experienced , even when staying at other 5 star hotels. All the recommendations of sites to see made our trip absolutely perfect . The overnight front desk agent even offered me water and offered to call a cab when my Uber cancelled for my 5am flight. The other employee working that shift even carried my luggages to the car in the rain and waited with me outside until they were there. The room was spotless and so beautiful. Housekeeping did an amazing job. We were also given a handwritten card with Rosé upon arrival as well as breakfast vouchers and early check in. Thank you so much to the staff for making my vacation so magical. I can’t wait to refer my friends vacationing to stay at this hotel. What a special experience! Also, the breakfast and restaurant staff was phenomenal !

i enjoyed the hotel resort..Conveniently located in Richmond...Easily accessible to everything. Preferable to have a car. Sky train was avail , but we had our own vehicle. Resort fees includes the parking which is good compared to other hotels nearby that charges $50/night for parking. I definitely would recommend to stay here. Room sizes are large, good entertainment.

GGuest UserThis hotel could be so much better, especially for the price. On the positive side, the staff, including the concierge, Lisa, and the whole crew on the G floor are outstanding - the most friendly and helpful people. My suite was comfortable and quiet. The king size bed was firm. The air conditioner works well. The bathroom is big. The hotel location is good, near museums and Yaletown, with restaurants and boutiques nearby. The gym and the pool area are also good and, not many hotels in the city have an outdoor pool. The negatives are the extreme neglect regarding renovation and cleaning. For example, with COVID still an issue, after I checked in and stayed the first night in the hotel, I found an empty bottle of water behind the sofa and an used and dirty shirt near the bed. I did not noticed it immediately, because I arrived at 2 am and went straight to bed. To get my room cleaned daily was an ordeal. The hotel apologizes for being understaffed, but the prices were high, around CAD $5.500 for a week’s stay. If you cannot deliver the service, you should not be charging for it, The carpets and the curtains look old, dirty and shabby in the room and common areas. But by far the worse things about the Hilton Vancouver are the elevators. It is not unusual to wait 15 minutes, I am not exaggerating, to go from your floor to the lobby. I understand there is a shortage of workers in Vancouver, but some of the disappointing features of the Hilton could, in my opinion, be addressed by management that cares and is committed to providing guests with what they deserve based on their rates.

GGuest UserThe St. Regis is one of my favorite hotels. It is centrally located so that walking to venues, shopping and restaurants is easy and convenient. Our suite was clean, tidy, comfortable, and elegant. Even though our room looked out on Dunsmuir Street there was very little street noise. The hotel is quaint, elegant, yet comfortable and not fussy. The lobby is small, yet efficient. A small library is located between the business center and the lobby. The library chairs are comfortable, the room is light and bright thanks to the tall street-facing windows. Our room service experience was top notch - the food was hot and delicious. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and hearty - servers were all pleasant and friendly. One of the most wonderful aspects of the St. Regis Hotel is the people who work there - Juan, Eduardo, Matt, Miguel, the housekeeping staff, breakfast waitstaff - all were friendly, courteous, accommodating, and approachable. I don't know when we will visit Vancouver again, but when that happens, I will stay at the St. Regis.

GGuest UserThe front desk service is terrible. They even deducted the credit card amount at random. This is the second time. They also said that the system is automatically operating. I am really speechless. No matter how good the hotel is, every time I check in, the experience is so bad that I don’t think it’s necessary to come again.

GGuest UserA very centrally located hotel. A continental style breakfast can be included in your stay. The room did have a galley kitchen with a microwave, fridge and oven. One down side was the lamps in the bedroom area. The switches were very dodgy. In fact we unplugged them and used only the main lights. The staff were very helpful.

GGuest UserExcellent downtown location. We stayed there for one night while attending a concert at BC Place (25min. walk). Had dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Food was fine. Room was very clean and updated. Would have been nicer if the coffee cups in the room were ceramic instead of paper.

GGuest UserThe room was clean and the quality-price relation is well balanced, but the most valuable thing for us was how helpful was the guest service agent Claudia Salinas. We are so grateful for her great attention and huge help during our stay in the city. We didn’t have our plastic cards with us, so that we could only pay with Apple Pay (which is not a common payment method in Sandman hotel and is not allowed in other hotels of the city). However, Claudia figured it out and we could pay with Apple Pay. We also lost our camarera in a taxi and Claudia helped us to identity the taxi driver and thanks to that we could find our camera. She also has great recommendations for near lunch, breakfast and leisure options. Thanks a lot for everything Claudia! You were extremely helpful during our entire stay in Vancouver!!

GGuest UserI chose to stay here because of the airport shuttle and the accessibility to public transportation. Given the price I had to pay, I’d have given a better a rating IF: (1) airport shuttle is more punctual (2) the TV in the room works better (clearer, guests ‘can’ use it simply by following menu, has choices of movie/ netflix connection) (3) the sink in the toilet has more efficient water draining (4) the air conditioner has digital control and is quieter (5) The lift works smarter.. What I like: (1) The complimentary coffee machine in common area (2) The staff are nice

KkienholzcyberYou can reserve Cambie Hostel Gastown online (recommended, about $29/night, w/small deposit about 15%) I am a Travel Advisor, traveling and booking travel is my job. I book 4 and 5 Star hotels, cruises, land tours and more, but found when I go on a cruise to Alaska and starting my cruise in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada l like hanging out downtown Vancouver. Vancouver is beautiful, lots to do, and Cambie Hostel Gastown is close to the cruise port (walking distance, with 1 rolling luggage, about 5 blocks), safe, with great bars and restaurants. If you take Greyhound, the bus station is a block from the rail (2 bucks for seniors, I am 65), go north towards Cambie Hostel Gastown, at stop walk about 5-6 blocks (or take taxi). GGuest UserTo set the context I am a seasoned hotel/motel traveler, having over 900 nights stays in the last 10 years alone. This is the 1st time I will be writing a terrible review for a business. I was excited to find this place as I was travelling with my 2 dogs and liked the cottage style accommodations and green space. I was personally excited by the history of this establishment and all of the TV shows and Movies filmed there over the years. I pulled into the parking lot to check in at 2pm and was informed by the front desk person that check in was at 4pm and there was NO way my room would be ready until 4pm. I did note that I thought 4pm was a bit of a late check in time, and the clerk told that ”it is common place for most hotels and motels to have a check in at 4pm”, I quickly noted that in over 900 hotel stays this was the first place that had that late a check in. I asked him if there was nay chance that the room might be ready before 4pm, noting that i had 2 dogs that were tired from there travels in the car, the response was quick and emphatic NO! Telling me again that check in is at 4pm, like I had not heard that the first time. I stayed very calm and said well if the room is ready before the 4pm check in time here is my cell # and if you could kindly give me a call. I then set off for some lunch and a long walk with the dogs (both senior dogs 16 &14). I returned at 3:45pm and found a new person at the front check and asked if my room was ready? The answer ”sorry it has not been cleaned yet”, ”okay can you tell me the room number so I can at least park and prepare to unload?” he did tell me the number and i found the room. As check in was now only 15 minuets away we could wait out those 15 mins. At 3;50pm i watched a very under motivated cleaning person arrive and slowly proceed to clean the room. I had a 5:30pm appointment in Port Moody with my daughter and her husband and their dog so i was i a bit of a hurry. I went back the the hotel lobby at 4:10 pm and said BTW it's now 4:10 can i have my keys? The reply was ”well we haven't finished cleaning the room yet” , I returned with ”i thought check in was 4pm and it's now 10 after 4”. Okay I was still very calm and though no need to get excited or angry at this person because he clearly DOES NOT CARE. So we waited and I returned at 4:30 as time was getting tight for my plans. ”Is my room ready now?” , ”oh there seems to be a problem with the sink” - ”ok when will the sink be fixed? ” ” I don't know but I have called maintenance' , ”ok when will maintenance arrive”, ”I really don't know” not the answers I was looking for, ”ok do you have another room?” answer ”No” - ”okay when to you expect that I can get into my room ?” I thought a fair question - answer ” I don't know” - now just silence hung in the air - I spoke next and said well i think i will need to cancel my room and get a refund. ”that's up to you” said the front desk person. I then canceled asked a refund which was credited back in my c
