I recently stayed at Hotel Varuna in Varanasi and unfortunately my experience was not up to the mark. Being a frequent flyer, my expectations with the hotel were little high but the services provided by hotel were not up to the mark. The review is specially for the staff who was the receptionist at the hotel named Mr. Chandraket Kumar Singh who had an extremely rude behaviour and zero sense of how the hospitality should be provided to their guests. Rooms were not ready and checkin was delayed by an hour. I had booked 2 executive rooms in the new wing, however, the rooms shown in the pictures on website are completely opposite of what they provide. As somebody who values good hospitality, I would not like to recommend this property to the people who are thinking to stay here. We can get much better hotels with better amenities in the same price. I would not even like to rate 1 out of 10 to Hotel Varuna. I hope the management would take an action for such pathetic services and hospitality being provided by the staff. Also, I would like the management to take a strict action against Mr. CHANDRAKET KUMAR SINGH, the receptionist. Being a female I felt really awkward and unsafe while talking to him.

Great stay. The rooms are great and the service too. The hotel also has a lovely restaurant where they play live music. There is alot of delicacies offered in the restaurant. Highly recommend the hotel for people travelling with family and big group of friends.

Room size is good. There is lack of cleanliness in room and bathroom. Housekeeping staff is available only after 2 pm. Maintenance of shower and jet spray in bathroom is lacking even in their new wing. Food is good.

The stay was pathetic, the staff was rude and very unprofessional. The breakfast they were serving was very unhygienic and bad
one of the staff even entered the room without knocking with the help of the master card which is just unbelievable
and the receptionist was very arrogant and not even talking properly they had terms of not allowing unmarried couples but then eventually allowed by asking us to pay 3 thousand extra
if they really had such strict rules then why did they allow us only in the first place, with all the tactics just to make more money overall this was the worst stay experience ive ever had and the worst hotel ive ever stayed in. The bed sheets and linens and matresses all were stained and smelly and dirty

Mm t should remove this hotel from their my-biz listing. Check in staff was confused. Card key to the room does not work. Room has a stinky and musty smell. The water does not drain so the bathroom gets flooded when you take a shower. Breakfast was decent but with hygiene issues, ants running around the juice & food counters.
