We arrived at the hotel early morning around 930am and the staff were so helpful informing us we had been upgraded to superior room free of charge and it was possible for early check in. Room was really lovely well presented quiet and comfortable. Good air conditioning. Quite a dark room as lack of lighting but all lovely. Bathroom toiletries nice and cleaned daily. Hairdryer in bathroom decent not like the normal low power ones you normally find. No tea and coffee making facilities but there was a fridge. Breakfast was delicious lovely selection of pastries, egg and bacon, cheeses, cereal and fruit and really good service. Nice English breakfast tea available too. Cappuccino was amazing. All staff were so friendly and helpful, think they Italians are just naturally lovely friendly happy people. Wish all British were the same! Anything we needed they offered advice and help. Our flight was cancelled and the hotel kindly offered us discounted room rate and we could remain in the same room. Breakfast was delivered to our room at 6am on request as early flight, nothing was too much! Excellent location easy 6 min walk to San Stae water bus stop line one which travels all over Venice! ATM 2 mins from hotel and little shop only 5 mins away. Venice was a delight and if returning would be rebooking this amazing hotel. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality whilst in Venice. Get booking you will not be disappointed!

Santa Croce Boutique Hotel

The Santa Croce Boutique Hotel was a great find for my husband and I. First, it was in a quiet neighborhood where locals live, with cafes, grocery stores, shops, town squares and side canals. The train station and Piaza Roma are just a few blocks away where you can easily catch the water taxis, gondolas, etc. We loved returning to the hotel after a busy day being tourists and enjoying a cocktail in the beautiful courtyard and then meandering around to a local cafe for dinner. Secondly, it is a beautiful hotel with comfortable and beautiful rooms. The decor added to our feeling of being in a special city such as Venice. Every single staff person was kind, polite, friendly and knowledgeable. Everyone! The breakfast buffet was extensive with eggs cooked to order, lots of fresh fruits, breads, etc. And the coffee was near perfect! Venice is a busy city filled with tourists, so staying away from all the hustle and bustle is a good idea! Just hop on the #1 water taxi and enjoy the ride to,wherever you may need to go.

We checked in here briefly about Air BnB during our Italian holiday. The accommodation is very central, in a quiet location very close to the train station. The newly renovated Venetian style is unrecognised and still technically updated by air conditioning, refrigerator and Wi-Fi. The guests are very nice and there are both local restaurants and a supermarket in the area. We have enjoyed it very well. Only suggestions for improvement: at breakfast breads would have been beautiful and the refrigerator was too hot set. But these are little things. When we stay next night in the beautiful laguna city we will certainly come back

La Loggia Della Luna

The apartment was modern, clean and in order. For couples without children a pleasant sleeping place to take a longer day. It is not well stated that this is a shared apartment. We thought we had booked a apartment with kitchen, but at last received 1 room and had to share the kitchen and living parts. In addition, we had clearly indicated that we had a baby travelling, there was no mention that the apartment was on the t****e floor, and that we had to go to the room inside the apartment. Notwithstanding all this, we were stolen in Venice. However, the owners of the apartment were infinitely insulting us with messages via Whatsapp in Italian, knowing well that we don't speak the language, in the tear of “what are you?”, “what are you staying?” and “I'm going to close”. With a baby in the street (although nowhere was indicated that check-in could no longer be 20-20h30), I picked up my phone on the waterbus's frame. In a fraction of a second, my portfolio had disappeared. I noticed this in the apartment until the owner asked me for my passport. I wanted to let my husband handle everything and go to my own portfolio, but they told me to calm down and wait until tomorrow? It was too late, but I found that a very disrespectful reaction, and knowing that I was just stolen, I was contacted the apartment the next day to ask why my credit card was blocked. When we arrived at the apartment, after realizing that we had to go on many small stairs, we also had no time to organise a little bit. Our baggage was taken off, and we had to carry our baby with buggy and already in an inhuman way.

Nice and quite place located at the Canale Grande with good access by foot and Vaporetti to all the islands and the old city. Smaller hotel with not much more than 20 rooms and a very nice terrace and garden towards the Canale Grande. Rooms were fully equipped and nicely furnished. Service and reception were very friendly and supportive. In total, a very nice stay and recommendable place to go.

The worst hotel (to call it something) in which I have been by far. The only positive is the location. Logically, for that price, we did not expect great luxuries, just a comfortable place to sleep. What we certainly did not expect is the disastrous treatment of the staff and the non-existent room service. First of all, as soon as we arrived, the room was not ready, so we had to go around town until it was ready. Secondly, the hotel manager/worker demanded the payment of some fees not mentioned at any time in the reservation, which already indicated that the price was with taxes included. 48 euros. We asked about the nature of those fees, and he did not know how to answer us at all, in fact, he reacted in a very rude and aggressive way. Despite not being able to clarify the reason for having to pay these fees, we were ready to pay, but his POS/DATAPHONE must have been for decoration, since none of the 4 cards we tried worked with. We told him that we didn't have cash to pay him to which he reacted even worse, the situation got unpleasant and he ended up saying that we will pay him at another time of the stay. We went to the rooms, the room itself was not bad, simple, without great luxuries, but what we expected for the price. The bathroom was shared, which we already knew, but there was only one bathroom for a floor with 4 group rooms, so you had to wait a long time to use the bathroom since it was always busy. But well, no more importance. The heating did not work, so we spent quite cold at night, the non-existent room service, they did not even change the towels. The only thing they did was empty the trash. Finally, we decided that we were not going to pay the fees unless we were shown with some official document or from the town hall that these fees are mandatory. Above all, after the uncomfortable stay, which was even more uncomfortable, because this man spent several times knocking on our door while we were resting to come and claim the money. On the last day, we left him the keys and informed him that we were not willing to pay what he asked for without any justification and without knowing why we had to pay those 48 euros. He continued without giving us any justification, he became more and more aggressive, yelling and pointing fingers. The most unrealistic and outrageous thing came, when the aforementioned said that he was going to call the police, to which I replied that I was delighted, so the police could verify if these rates are legal. He called someone on the phone and handed me his cell phone so I could talk to that person. The person in question claimed to be a hotel authority, I told him that logically I could not trust a person on the other end of the phone that could be anyone, that if it really was the police please, be aware
