We have two children a 3 and a 1 year old. The staff went out of their way to help. We had an amazing holiday and we can’t wait to go again. The rooms were lovely and had plenty of space for us all. At 18:00 they have someone in the bar playing piano. My eldest keeps asking to go back. Thank you. We look forward to our next visit.

From outside nothing ostentatious in this discrete small hotel in an old building of Verone. You would never guess such a charming place and warm welcome. The hotel has a very traditional charm and decoration with hundreds of paintings, plates and other stuff hanging from the wall. The breakfast room is just outstanding and at the mid floor of the hotel you find a wonderful small winter garden full with plants and flowers in which there is a cage with two budgies called “Roméo and Juliet”. We fell in love with Roméo who was constantly whistling at us to call us or to answer to our own whistling. Wonderfully located in the centre of Verone, you can walk easily to every point of touristic interest. As every coin has two sides, it is not very easy to reach the hotel by car as “waze” is not very familiar with the pedestrian area. Fortunately, when we were completely lost, we called the hotel and a valet walked to us and drove us to the hotel; what a nice attention! The bedroom is incredibly charming and comfortable with its subdued light to avoid the big external temperature. You can even completely stop the air-conditioning if you don’t like. Last but not least, the hotel staff is very kind and attentive to your smallest wish. A little bit expensive but a weekend at the Gabbia d’Oro is really a fantastic experience that is worth the price

This was a fantastic B&B with lovely terrace and gardens. Our room was very tastefully decorated with high quality fittings and exceptionally clean. Our hosts were very welcoming and extremely helpful and attentive. Our breakfasts were a delight with cakes freshly baked by our host and with homemade jams. Our room looked across the city and although we did not require parking plenty of free parking was available. The B&B is only 20 mins walk into the centre, although a steep hill down, we always used a taxi to return. This is a lovely home which we were privileged to use for our stay. No hesitation in recommending to anyone.

With air conditioning, you won’t be afraid of the heat in summer! The breakfast is a relatively standard continental breakfast. Due to the epidemic, the breakfast is served at the table provided by the service staff! Very thoughtful! There is a supermarket about 200 meters away, buying fruit snacks and beer...cheap!

What a gem this place is. Location is fantastic; walking distance to all the places of interest and fabulous restaurants and shops. The room is spacious, clean, beautifully decorated, very confortable bed, the room is very quiet. The bonus is the fabulous hosts, from the very beginning to the end, friendliness, and information and tips on places to visit and eat. We felt very much at home, Massimo and his wife and their lovely son are the nicest people. We were so impressed with this place that we will be booking all the rooms for ourselves and friends for the Opera at the Arena 2020. Cannot find fault with B and B Cangrande, it really is perfect!

The Relais Fra Lorenzo Verona was the nicest hotel we stayed in on our two week vacation in Italy. The location is wonderful, the scenery is fantastic, and the service was outstanding. The staff was very friendly and helped us out with transportation and other reservations. The breakfasts and other meals were well prepared and very delicious. What a beautiful place. The room was more like a suite, the bed was comfortable, it had good views, and the location was superb - just outside the main center but not on top of it, near some excellent bars, restaurants and interesting shops, opposite some of the best views of the city. We also want to mention Ivano was excellent. He accommodated my special dietry needs beyond expectations, and then went out of his way to help us when we had a health issue there (unrelated to our stay of course!). This was the final stay of a three legged honeymoon and it was our favourite by far - Verona is now one of our favourite cities and we wouldnt be able to find a better place to stay
