I thought this hotel was good, with a good location and nice rooms. When I left, I found that I had received a ticket for parking 10 meters away from the hotel entrance. They said there was a sign in German saying that we could not park there. We knew German, but we didn't see it. The waiter who received us looked very enthusiastic, but he actually watched us park without telling us that we could not park. Afterwards, I wrote to the official email, and they replied in a very arrogant way that it was my own responsibility, saying that their official language was German, and it was our own responsibility that we did not see it! This is outrageous!

Come here especially for the name, and it really lives up to its reputation. The landscape and room facilities are absolutely top-notch. Even though it was low season, the service was excellent. The dishes at the Michelin restaurant downstairs don't feel so refined

Very beautiful lake view, although the price is high, it is worth it. It's just that the price of the restaurant is too high, the portions are a bit ridiculously small, and the taste is average.

If you want to truly enjoy your vacation in Switzerland, you must visit it! The private hotel space is not crowded and the view from the infinity pool is amazing! In addition, you can take a short swim in Lake Lucerne, which is a special feeling. The staff are very friendly and the facilities are top-notch, so even if it is expensive, I recommend you to go!

The people, service, facilities and location are one of a kind. Everything was impeccable from the moment we were picked up to the time we left. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for exceptional service and location that will leave lasting memories.

Staff is superb. We ran into an issue (nothing to do with the hotel) and they have gone above and beyond for us. They really have made things so easy for my family and we are truly extremely appreciative. Not all hotels treat guests with such high level of service, this place is top notch all around.

**Lake Lucerne: A Stunning Oasis with a Quirky Twist** I LOVE Lake Lucerne. It’s a place where stunning and serene meet in perfect harmony. If refined luxury is what you're after, this lake and its surroundings will pay off in spades for you. Now, onto the hotel itself: from the outside, it’s an absolute gem—a castle-like structure exuding grandeur and luxury. But step inside, and you're greeted with a sensory assault. It feels like the owner, perhaps a successful business mogul outside the hospitality world, decided to dabble in interior design, resulting in a bizarre blend of a sanitarium and the Mad Hatter’s tea party. "Unnecessarily confusing" would be putting it mildly. The furniture, drapes, elevators, and even the spa are a chaotic mix of designs and patterns that clash at every turn. Each suite is named and styled after an obscure inventor, complete with their portraits staring down at you in the bedroom. I ended up taking mine off the wall and hiding it in the closet. And then there’s the high-tech shower. It seems like a competition to make showering as complicated as possible, with an array of knobs and settings that require a laminated instruction card just to figure out. Every shower feels like a test of patience, leading to perpetual frustration and more than a few choice words. In summary, the hotel’s interior design is a prime example of how the urge to be original can sometimes backfire. More isn’t always more; sometimes, it's just too much. This beautiful building in a stunning location deserves better than one man’s misguided attempt to be different.

Imagine the most beautiful 5 star property with the kindest staff you’ve ever met. Stunning views, beautiful spa amenities and incredible food. Now take that image, and add hoards of unsupervised, feral children. We had the absolute worst experience at this hotel despite reading incredible reviews. I will admit that my expectations were high, but this experience would have been bad at any hotel let alone a 5 star property with the reputation of the Park Hotel Vitznau. Children were running around and screaming everywhere, there was absolutely no escaping them. Jumping into the pool and splashing everyone around them, running through the chairs and screaming as they ran back and forth between the pools and the lake, taking out all of the paddle boards and leaving them to float in the water, taking up all of the cabanas and chairs with their shoes and clothing strewn everywhere, leaving half consumed bottles of water and tea rolling around the floor. Absolute chaos, and this was in the pool/lake section. Below in the spa section where the beautiful saunas and cold plunge pools are located the masses of children were just as wild and poorly behaved. Filling up the foot baths and splashing at each other, spilling nuts and tea all over the counter, running in and out of the sauna rooms, leaving wet towels all over the place (the poor staff was doing their best to keep up). We spoke to the spa director and shared our concerns as did several other guests who had the same experience day after day. We were assured they would enforce their rules about adult supervision and try to minimize the amount of children in the designated quiet areas of the spa (like the saunas and cold plunge pool). This did not happen. There was not even a moment of peace and we were absolutely miserable. We could even hear them at times during our massages. While this was the least of my concern, there was also no shortage of influencer types taking constant photos and videos. Honestly I don’t care about the photos, but they kept videoing and panning out so we were absolutely in their videos. At one point we smiled at waved at the camera to make a point, luckily that girl took the hint and stopped videoing near us. We finally gave up and returned to our room (where the air conditioning was broken) to get ready for dinner. We enjoyed an incredible meal at Focus Atelier, which has 2 Michelin stars, but could still hear the screaming children down in the grill restaurant. Children even ran through the Atelier patio a couple of times, but the restaurant staff was very proactive in minimizing these kinds of interruptions. I had an extensive conversation with the manager on-site the next morning and shared all of this feedback in detail. They offered to take a few francs off of our bill, but the money is irrelevant when you are purchasing an experience like this. It truly is about the experience, and I can confidently say mine was in absolutely no way what I expected based on the

Park Hotel Vitznau is an amazing hotel, and, as a matter of fact, our favorite worldwide. It is truly 5-star plus experience. Exclusive in every way with beautiful spacious suites, great restaurants, a bar with a variety of drinks and cocktails, an amazing spa and all surrounded by striking scenery.

I paid $9,300 (approx) up front for 3 nights for our family. I indicated 2 adults and 2 children. Got a confirmation and bought PLANE TICKETS! A month later they emailed for more money. They charge an extra 100 CHF per kid per night over the age of 3. I had not indicated my children's ages. They were asking for another $670 (approx). I complained to hotel manager that this is bad business and a terrible way to start my trip. They insisted I pay or cancel. I canceled - we are going the the Mandarin Oriental in Lucerne instead. Beware of extra fees after you pay! ...some 5 star hotel!
Response from Property: Dear Michael Thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify that we always strive to be transparent with our prices and additional fees. All our charges, including the extra costs for children over a certain age, are clearly stated on our website and during the booking process. So, it's really important to give us all the correct details, like the ages of your kids, when you book to make sure everything adds up correctly. We value your feedback, as our goal is to provide crystal clear and accurate information to all our guests. We hope you and your family have an amazing stay at the Mandarin Oriental in Lucerne, what a beautiful hotel. Best regards, Mathias Rohner Managing Director

Park Hotel Vitznau. This property supersedes the word LUXURY & with the stunning view & its position on lake Lucerne, it will be on top of my list of the best hotels in the world! As you walk in the view of the lake & the Alps right behind it will take your breakaway ! The Spa is over the top stunning with the highest quality of facilities you can imagine! An all suite property with exquisite taste in every part of the hotel from bedding to restaurants & the quality of the food , not to mention the fact that the property houses one the west wine collections in the world divided into 4 different cellars. The hotels sits right on Lake Lucerne with a ferry stop nearby, which makes it a very easy access to the old town of Lucerne. Also, ton of activities, like visiting the Rigi mountain, hiking, or having a lunch at a traditional Swiss restaurant on top of the mountain is right at your door step with the railway access practically next to the hotel!
