Mooi hotel, persoonlijke aandacht door eigenaar/manager. Leuke thema kamers. Heerlijk gegeten in restaurant Lev. We hadden een arrangement geboekt, kregen daar nog een welkomstdrankje bij. TV was een beetje klein op de slaapkamer. Verder hadden we een heel leuk en gezellig verblijf.

Locatie was echt top. Wageningen is een klein, maar verrassend vriendelijk stadje met mooie gebouwen en rijke historie. Alles wat je nodig hebt (winkels en eet- en drinkgelegenheden, wandelroutes en natuur) is vanaf Hotel De Wereld per voet bereikbaar. Hotel zelf is gesitueerd in een prachtig oud pand. Het is er schoon, heeft een mooie uitstraling, een passend interieur en vriendelijk personeel. De kamer was ruim met prima bedden. Punten ter verbetering waren er wel t.a.v. de verwachtingen die wij hadden bij een hotel in deze prijsklasse; 1) De kamers mogen wel eens gelucht worden (ramen konden niet open). Ondanks dat het schoon was, hing er een ietwat bedompte lucht van onze menselijke voorgangers welke met een beetje sprayen met allesreiniger niet kon worden gemaskeerd. 2) De kamer was vrij donker. Lampen gaven sfeerverlichting, maar het bleef schemerig. Ook overdag (grijze decemberdagen) bleef het ondanks de ramen, toch donker. Kwestie van een ander lampje kiezen... 3) Voor een ontbijt wat bijna 20 euro p.p. kostte, hebben we wel wat op- en aanmerkingen. Hoewel er een uitgebreid aanbod was - echt voor ieder wat wils - en op bestelling o.a. vers bereide uitsmijters en american pancakes werden geserveerd, hadden we toch iets meer klasse verwacht. Zoals vers geperste sinaasappelsap i.p.v. sinaasappelsap uit een pak met concentraat. Eitjes die 6 min gekookt zijn, horen geen natte dooier meer te hebben. Koffie kon zelf worden getapt, maar de kopjes waren te klein. De cappucino overstroomde. Tafels werden niet tijdig afgeruimd. Gebruikt servies met ontbijtresten van onze voorganger stonden er nog en hebben continu op onze tafel gestaan, zonder te worden afgeruimd. 4) Keuze voor thee op de kamer én in restaurant waren beperkt tot groene en zwarte thee. Vanwege dieet mag ik alleen kruidenthee. Gelukkig had ik zelf meegenomen. Maar in principe zou het een kleine moeite zijn om het assortiment hiermee aan te vullen t.b.v. de klanttevredenheid voor een hotel in deze prijsklasse.

Zeer goed hotel. Vriendelijk personeel en fantastisch eten. Mooie themakamer, de Aletta Jacobs kamer. Was een plezier om verwend te worden. Is zeker een aanrader. Wij hebben ervan genoten en het was allemaal erg relaxed. Het mankeerde ons aan niets.

Great service and historically important location
Themed rooms based on influence people towards peace. WW2 NL location for peace signing between Germany and Canadians. Outstanding personal service and very good food.

Lovely stay!
Beautiful hotel, my only complaint is that the king bed I wanted was really just 2 twins pushed together and I kept falling in the canyon between them. Breakfast was awesome, location was lovely.

Fantastic welcoming hotel
Very good hotel.
Rooms were spacious, modern and very comfortable with aircon and the bathrooms are amazing.
Staff were brilliant and very friendly.
The hotel is modern and equipped to a very high standard.
Its in a nice location and is a must for WW2 buffs due to the part it palyed in the war.
The food is very good and well priced
