The Stables at Henham Park

This 3 night stay was arranged for my birthday. First impressions great, lovely place. Owner quite abrupt but welcoming enough. We were shown to the Southwold Suite which was lovely. During first couple of hrs room got colder, no heat in rads. Went to find owner who advised the heating had just come on again. We asked how warm the large breakfast room might be the next morning as didn’t fancy sitting in the cold to eat. The owner went into great lengths to tell us how thermostats worked on radiators, by now my husband and I were pretty fed up when challenged the owner stormed off telling us to leave in the morning and he would refund our deposit. We left straight away one birthday spoilt!!!! Also no longer allowed to walk on the estate despite being advertised as 100s of acres of romantic walks as a working farm which would have meant having to go out in our car which was not the plan.

The Stables Beccles Our stay was very peaceful, and right from arrival, we were made to feel at home. The room was very comfortable and very clean, the breakfast was amazing and the service was exceptional and very personalized. Highly recommended.

Peaceful and Good breakfast Only marked comfort down as bed a little hard forme, great host and good breakfast. Would have been useful to have a small desk and chair as was on business

Secluded comfortable B&B Interesting one. Stables is quite secluded within a large park. I arrived in the evening. I was the only guest and there was a message directing me to my room. Excellent bedroom lots of space, well appointed bathroom with bath and shower. One of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in for a long time. Room information provides suggestions for places to eat but it’s a bit of a trek to the main road and a bit confusing in the dark. Freshly cooked breakfast was really good

Unexpected stay at The Stables Very relaxing and comfortable and welcoming, just what we needed.

Great value, special room. I stayed for a night on business. I booked the Minsmere room, which is the largest room. My word it is large and full of character. Open plan, warm, cosy. Three beds, a lounge area, dining table. I could've quite happily stayed there all week (without leaving). You could organise a game of football in the bathroom which contained two sinks, freestanding bath and a shower. I had an excellent nights sleep as the room and area is so quiet, bed was very comfortable. Owner was pleasant and polite on check in. He gave me a breakfast menu to submit what I would like the following morning. The choices were excellent. Breakfast was made with really good quality ingredients and quick as you order it for a specific time. Filter coffee available and nice freshly squeezed orange juice. There's a lounge area with an honestly bar and lots of board games and other bits to look through. I was gutted I was away on business and didn't have my family there. 10 minute drive to Southwold which is well worth a visit. Will definitely book again next time I'm in the area.
