It's the best I've ever experienced. I mean everything was world-class, the ambience, the service, the rooms, the food, the staff. The Food was basically buffet, the breakfast options were vast, and there were so many to choose from. The dinner options not so many and as much as they tried to incorporate different cuisines each day i.e Italian, Mediterranean, Swahili, they didn't have many dining options, otherwise what was available was delicious. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back.

Loved my experience at Hemingways Watamu. It was my first time there and everything was lovely. The staff were great especially Eric the waiter who served me. The shower was amazing, one of my highlights of the trip. Loved that it wasn’t crowded and I could enjoy the hotel fully. The only thing I would say is that the food could be better, for a hotel of that caliber, I expected better. I found the dinner options very limiting compared to other hotels I’ve been to. It could use some improvement. Breakfast was great though, plenty of options. Would definitely recommend it to anyone ☺️

We came for an evening meal on a Saturday night and found the place pretty empty. We sat down looking out to sea for drinks and were asked to move as the table we sat at was allegedly reserved (No one sat there the whole night). My daughter asked for a specific cocktail and was told it wasn't available (but the ingredients were all there). We sat down at our restaurant table and a bottle of water was dropped on us and broken with no apology. The wine by the glass, clearly came from a bottle that had been opened for a few days and wasn't pleasant. We had the buffet, which was pretty average and the desserts were very dry. The cost, in comparison to other Watamu prices was eye-watering. We were scouting out the hotel for a family holiday next year, but decided we would rather not stay here, and we won't be returning for a meal.

The best services from the Security,receptionists,housekeeping,pool attendants,chefs,service staffs,managers on the ground,all the restaurants ,kids play area,spa,best tea and coffee from the baristas,i can keep on going not forgetting the beach view rooms. We had the best experience ever.

Perfect destination that caters to all forms of travel. Chef Dennis is such a great delight, always flexible to accommodate the demands and special requests that gets to his desk. Pulling off exquisite delicacies is his forte! He pulled off an excellent, unforgettable birthday surprise for my sister! Husna makes your day from the very entry point! Her infectious smile, willingness to pull off excursions and beautiful plans for a couple, small and large groups to ensure comfort is always a great delight! Great Team here all around. Always a great pleasure returning.

I just spent five nights at Hemingways Watamu, and honestly, it was amazing! 👌 The location is perfect – right on the beach with the bluest water and soft white sand. Waking up to those ocean views every day was something else 🌊🏖️. The rooms were super comfortable and had this laid-back, coastal vibe that made it easy to relax. The staff really made the experience unforgettable – so friendly and always ready to help with a smile. And the food? Wow, every meal was spot on! 🍽️ Whether I was lounging by the pool or snorkeling in the marine park, every moment felt special. If you’re thinking about a coastal getaway, Hemingways Watamu should definitely be at the top of your list! 🏝️

This is an amazing hotel with all the amenities you may need and multiple options to pick from. Meaning there are 2 swimming pools and several restaurants. The rooms are quite spacious with amazing views. I got a room facing the beach with amazing sunrises. It was a great place in which my group bonded alot over drinks. Although I did not get to enjoy a massage, they have a spa and a gym. White sandy beach right in front! The customer service was impeccable truly. I felt so at peace here. I would say that this is an untaped side of Kenya's beachside. I enjoyed the solidarity. The great part about where this is located is that you can walk to communities, stores, etc. The buffet was filled with many delicious options and my group also enjoyed the dinner shetup where we all order items and share amongst each other. It made for great conversations! If you are into water activities, the service providers pick you up straight from the hotel's beach front. We stayed for 2 nights but I did not want to leave.
