West Hollywood
The hotel has 3-4 floors, and the pool view is pretty. The room was spacious enough and the king size bed was comfortable. However, there was a lot of musty smell in the hotel. And when I shower, the water doesn't drain quickly. There are many good hotels around the location, so I went to another hotel for breakfast.

Hotel location is general, travel car rental or Uber is better, stayed for four nights, the first night of the deduction of 400 knife pre-authorization, was informed, the second and third night respectively deducted me 35 and 250 knives, is Did not say, the hotel front desk can not find out why the deduction, only contact with the bank overnight, for a long time, the room service also stole a new doll with a tag? I also thought it was rubbish, but it was really unhappy anyway.
Sunset Tower Hotel

We had a marvelous time here at the Sunset Tower Hotel, everything about our stay was absolutely perfect. The valet greeted us warmly and opened the door for my daughter, and swiftly took care of our bags and showed us inside. We were offered an early check in by the lovely front desk staff, which was a pleasant surprise. The room was gorgeous, it felt like stepping into an Old Hollywood movie scene, and it was very clean and well kept. Dinner at The Tower Bar was fabulous, the food was impeccable and the ambience was just perfect. Our waiter was such a gentlemen, and very knowledgable about the menu. The complimentary coffee and tea service was a very nice touch as well. From check-in to check-out, our stay was nothing short of perfect. When asked if I would be returning, I couldn't help but reply with an excited, ”Yes! Yes! YES!” I'm already looking forward to our next stay. One final thing I would like to mention, is that we were the youngest people we saw at the hotel, and we have stayed in places where the staff have treated us differently because at first glance they might assume young people don't understand the importance of gratuity (which of course is not the case) but regardless of our age, we were treated with respect and hospitality as valued guests like anyone else. This was greatly appreciated. I'm sure we will be back very soon.
Mondrian Los Angeles

My fiancé and I stayed at the Mondrian LA for 5 days at the end of July. We had a rough start to the trip, our luggage got lost (thanks to air Canada) and our reservation was lost once we got to the hotel. Marie Verdugo was patient, caring and extremely helpful and didn't give up on us. Our reservation was then found and from that point on the hotel was very generous and giving, we can't thank Marie and the whole staff enough! We will for sure be back!

When arriving at the beautiful 850 West Hollywood Hotel we were shown to our room and that's when I noticed that we where in the wrong room type.  I proceeded to talk with reception to explain that we were in wrong room but to my surprise we were informed this was the correct room.  I said no, our room has a balcony with views of the city and that was the primary reason that I booked this hotel (as per booking. com room description).  Reception told us that our room type (Deluxe King Room) didn't all have city views and that they don't have any available that do have city views left, I was totally gutted as this was a special occasion booking and the views was everything, the Los Angeles skyline.  I also spoke to the manager but again was told they were fully booked.   Not only did the room given to us not have the views but this rooms view was the bushes and the neighbours scaffolded walls.  All our windows were frosted glass so we couldn't even see out of the windows at all either, felt very claustrophobic in the room.  The balcony was the width of a single chair and not a comfortable environment due to terrible view of bushes, walls, scaffolding, dust and the loud construction works going on next door.  The construction work was very loud and intolerable and at no point during booking or check in were we informed of these works.  Being on the second floor there is obviously people in the room above and hearing them is not unusual, however the insulation is really bad so it was like being under a classroom of stomping children.  Windows didn't close properly either so noise was always a constant either from building works, street noise or traffic.  In summary the room was a claustrophobic box, stomping noises from ceiling,  outside noise, opaque windows and a tiny balcony surrounded with bushes, scaffolding and workmen using jackhammers.    Our booking included breakfast as per description,  this turned out to be a continental breakfast,  I use the word continental loosely.   Breakfast was a pastry, orange juice or coffee with one cereal choice that was the same everyday.  This is not acceptable to be called breakfast of any description.   We therefore had to eat and pay outside the property,  an expense that we didn't budget for. After checking out we were charged a resort fee that they didn't tell us about, I only realised they had charged this after I got an alert from my credit card.  I had to return to them and explain I had already paid all monies for my stay via ***********.  , once they had double checked our booking they refunded this In conclusion, our 3 night stay in West Hollywood was completely ruined due to not receiving the room we saw advertised and being out of pocket paying for proper breakfasts.   I would like to say that the manager Virginia is a lovely person and made us feel very welcome and is to be commended.

The first time I go to LA to play here, the location is good, it is convenient to taxi from Universal Studios and Beverly Hills, more than 20 minutes. You can walk to Melrose Avenue, there is a shake shack next to the hotel, it is delicious. The decor is good and the rooms are large. Toiletries and slippers are provided.
