John Thomas Bed and Bath

Everything was perfect! Will be staying again!!

We were so lucky to find this place. My husband and I were returning home to Texas from Florida and needed a place to stay for a travel break. I called John, the owner, of the B&B and were able to rent the Carriage room. And what a great price. He was there when we arrived to show us around. It was fantastic. It had all we needed and way more. The bed and pillows were wonderful. We didn't need to retrieve our own pillows that we took on vacay. The way it was decorated was outstanding. I kept being amazed by the quality of the design of the rooms. We ate a restaurant (Trapp's) that was within walking distance. We wanted to try the Louisiana Cajun foods. The owner gave us suggestions on where to eat for breakfast and we ate at the Delta Biscuit. The beignets and omelets were delicious. You have no idea how the place was so perfect and comfortable, especially for my husband who had driven many hours in pouring rain. The parking was safe for our vehicle with an extra travel hitch holding several ice chests. He was extra happy for comfort, a large tv to watch college baseball and a great place to relax. The next morning we sat on the swing on the front porch for almost an hour! A local hotel would not compare to staying at this Bed and Bath.

This is a must stay! The room had everything you could thing of to make you feel welcomed! The communication from the owner was amazing.

The property is beautiful and unique. We have stayed a few times now and will again I am sure. I love working with JT !

Thank you for your recommendations- they were all spot on and gave us an opportunity to have multiple adventures. We had never been to a Celtic festival and it was intriguing. What an amazing group of people that continue celebrating the traditions of the Celtic people. Can’t wait to make Monroe one of our top long weekend adventures. Next time my husband can bring his clubs so I can spend more time in the antique shops- going down memory lane. We’ll be sure to book your carriage house for our stay! Not goodbye, but see you soon when we return for a time of recharging and adventure. John - if you look up ‘super host’ in the dictionary- there your picture and description would be. Everything we needed you provided. I loved sitting in the back garden each morning sipping my Keurig Community Coffee listening to the birds and being still. It is evident that you have the gift of hospitality and I’m so happy we got to experience it in action. You are right where you need to be- you make people feel like welcome guests - giving them a place to unplug from the ‘rush’ of life. Thank you. The only thing I did not like about our time here was having to leave on Sunday morning. You will not be sorry if you stay at the John Thomas in Monroe.

Will definitely be coming back!

We stayed at the John Thomas house over Labor Day weekend and had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful inside and out and is very well decorated. It was a block away from town and we were sent to multiple places to try and go eat and shop. We will definitely be staying again.

This place was as beautiful as it was comfortable. I absolutely loved it. If I'm in the area in the future, I will definitely check on availability to stay here again!
