Fantastic stay, Maxine is a star, amazing host and full of smiles and chat! Our room (5) was amazing, had everything in it you could possibly need, bed is the best I’ve slept in and the breakfast was 1st class full English. Highly recommended and just wish we were staying longer! Thanks Max x

Had a lovely room with sea view and king size bed. Great little extras like a pair of binoculars on the window sill to explore the view. Couple of easy chairs in the bay window with coffee table. A real pleasure to sit there in the sun! One word of warning, if you are infirm or not able to carry your own cases easily up the property stairs this venue is probably not the right choice for you as there is no lift (it’s a listed building). Maxine our host was lovely and my wife and I highly recommend the Ocean Guest House!

We stayed at the Ocean Guest House August bank holiday and again earlier in the summer. Having stayed in many guesthouses over the years I can honestly say that I would struggle to find anywhere better. Our room was spotlessly clean and furnished beautifully with everything you could want or expect, the real bonus on our latest stay was the harbour view. The host Maxine extends a warm welcome to all of her guests whilst allowing you plenty of space to relax feel at home, she is clearly proud of her property and quite rightly so. All of Maxine's finishing touches add to the homely feel. The breakfasts cant be faulted and Maxine and her team will always share an amusing story to add to the experience. The close proximity to both the beach and the harbour give the guest house the perfect location which lends itself to there being a view from every room. Both me and Gemma are already looking forward to our next stay.

Came with a group of friends from China and we were all treated so well by the lovely owner, Maxine. She’s so friendly and welcoming to everyone and we had a good laugh together. Her house is a treasure trove of interesting objects and she introduced some of them to us. I guarantee you’ve never stayed in a property as unique as this! Breakfast was delicious, the location is perfect and Maxine very kindly gave us a parking permit which made parking really convenient. Rooms were great with comfy beds. Couldn’t ask for any more! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Me and my hubby Dave have been with Maxine before, this is our second time here and we love her and the guest house, she can't do enough for you, best comfy beds I've ever slept in, lush breakfast and she really makes you welcome, that's why we're going back again in October, well done Maxine 10/10 from us xxxxx

Great guesthouse lovely owner has everything you need is in perfect location and can’t do enough for you. Breakfast was lovely had choice of full English breakfast or continental. Honesty bar where you can have a drink and put the money in a box Only downside is the next door being really loud and staring at you while your sat on the terrace Will definitely be back
