The Endeavour

Lovely place. The staff and customers are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We stayed for 2 nights. The bed was very comfy and the room was lovely and warm. Tea/coffee making facilities and snacks in the room, with more on the landing if needed. Everywhere was spotless. Our bathroom wasn't en-suite, but was right next door to our room and exclusive to us with a pin code. The pub downstairs has a lovely atmosphere and is dog friendly. There was live music at night and as 'oldies' who are used to earlier nights, it did disturb our sleep a little. But not enough to not want to return next year!

Not our first stay here and won't be our last. Central to everything with car park just in front 11 pounds for 24 hours parking. Staff as usual welcoming and happy. All prices for drinks clearly stated on menu. Selection and quality of drinks excellent and the pub itself is,cosy and welcoming. Room 3 facing the rear was quiet and warm. Clean and comfortable and tea /coffee making facilities in room. You can also help yourself to anything extra you need from the landing if you run out. All in all another perfect stay in our favourite seaside town. Thank you The Endeavour see you again soon.

We called in for Sunday lunchtime drinks. A jovial barman served us with a bit of banter. The drinks were served correctly, and an open fire was roaring on this cold day. We stayed for two rounds and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Would definitely recommend.

Unfortunately booked the wrong weekend for this trip (13 -15 Jan) realized error am working! Quickly cancel rebook following weekend! Unaware of the CHANGE booking policy. Hotel refused refund for original booking so I cancelled 2nd booking. Hotel kept my £113.40! For original booking. Totally unacceptable. Booked through Agoda.

Great little place to stay. Rooms are spotless and comfortable. Really enjoyed staying here and will definitely stay again when I am back in Whitby. Great selection of in room snacks when you arrive which is a nice touch, It is a very short walk to the sites of Whitby.

Live music was good but staff unfriendly and unwelcoming which spoilt the atmosphere. Wouldn't go back if I can help it. Much better places to spend your money in Whitby. Although they advertised live entertainment, they discouraged dancing and interaction with band. Maybe it's only a pub for locals??!
