Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Wichita

Love the hotel set up . Hate that it's always sold out. Used to be a really quiet place but new management not very friendly or worried about what goes on in the room whatsoever. The owners have their own family all over the hotel. Kids everywhere outside.

Hotel system was down when checking in, took a long time.

I’ve stayed here multiple times and all were great. This last stay our tv did not work properly and our other room the heat was not working but overall I would stay here again 😊

Where do I begin? The property is neglected and in disrepair. We had a party of five and had four bath towels, two wash cloths, and no hand towels. Our granddaughter was going to sleep on the sofa sleeper, but there were no sheets, blankets, or pillows. I had to go to the office to get all of the linens. There was a stench of fish in the room because the kitchen disposal was clogged. The man who cleared the clog failed to put any cleanser in the sink...so I made another trip to the office. There are NO supplies in the suite kitchen. No dishes, cups, or flatware. There was no dishwashing detergent. The Internet is awful...hard to connect to and impossible to remain connected. For all of this...I paid $400. Don't even consider this place!

I stayed at this location for 3 weeks. The room was very spacious, cool, and comfortable. The room also had a full size refridgerator with ice maker and a stove for cooking. This made my extended stay perfect for going grocery shopping with plenty of cabinet space to store food. The couch, coffee table, and sofa made for pleasant mornings before heading off to work. Internet and cable television was also included. Washing machines and dryers are also available for people staying for an extended period of time. Lastly, the staff was very helpful and friendly if I had any questions or concerns. The complex is a little dated like the surrounding Wichita area. If your expecting to stay in a fully renovated 5-Star hotel, this is not for you. On the contrary, if your looking to get a good nights rest at an affordable price, I would definitely recommend this location. I feel like many folks have given poor reviews because they were expecting similarities to much higher priced hotels. To be completely honest and fair, the place was absolutley perfect for the price. I would definitely stay again in the future.

I paid for 8 days, walked into my room and walked right back out. The room was filthy, wreaked of smoke smell and there were holes in the furniture. I went to the he front desk and checked out, they would not refund my $767 even though I did not stay!

Desk was very impatient and pushy, carpets and walls badly torn up, microwave waiting to explode. People roaming and knocking on our at all hours of night felt like being in the slums!! Would not recommend to anyone we know!

The staff are really great. The hotel is mediocre. It's sad because with just a little attention to detail it could be a great hotel. It has a kitchenette with no supplies so it's useless. It's has a bathtub that seems cracked or sinking in the middle. Worn carpets and drapes. The bed was ok. Sadly it could be so much better. They could at least cut the grass and pull up the weeds on the patio. Curb appeal is pretty bad. Mediocre seems to be a word I use a lot but it fits here.

the room diffently could use updating, the carpet was awful, the coffee pot didn't work. The location was fine, it has the potential of being nice, with a little TLC
