Applegarth Villa Hotel & Restaurant (Adult Only)

We went to the restaurant to celebrate my husbands birthday, while we were staying in Windermere. Superb meal in a beautiful dining room. Staff excellent, professional and friendly. We will certainly visit again when in Windermere. In fact, we will probably stay in this hotel.

Our stay at the Applegarth Hotel was to celebrate our 56th wedding anniversary and thanks to our hosts Alan and Suzanne, we enjoyed a very memorable experience. The personal touches they laid on for us were very touching, thoughtful, kind and appreciated. Some 56 years ago we spent our honeymoon at the Applegarth Hotel which in the day only provided bed and breakfast. Today, however, it is a Four Star luxury hotel with extremely modern and comfortable rooms. The additional restaurant facility run by a SUPERB chef, was the icing on the cake, to top off our stay. My only problem is that our next anniversary is going to be so difficult to better, I am probably going to have to repeat it again at the Applegarth Hotel. Thank you again Alan and Suzanne for your kindness.

Stayed at applegarth hotel and villa for a 1 night stay.... from the moment we arrived it was the most amazing experience.. We where greated by a gentleman who was so calming and friendly. He explained the timings of meal times in the restaurant and the bar timings. We got our key to our room ( the great how suite ) we had our own private entrance. Opening the door we where greeted with the most beautiful room. The decor was to a high standard. The suite we stayed in was on two levels. The hot tub was ready to enjoy straight away with a good size patio area. Up the stairs to the bedroom and another balcony 😌 the bathroom had a spa jet bath with a tv on the wall.. the complimentary bath and shower products where nice. Fluffy towels and bath robes. Me and my husband had the best night sleep we have ever had in a hotel. The mood lighting made our evening feel so relaxed. Breakfast was outstanding. This was the first time we have ever stayed in the lakes, and it will definitely not be the last. We are already planning another stay at applegarth. The gentleman on reception went above and beyond to help us to have a good experience of windermere and gave us some good recommendations of where to visit. Check out was very smooth handed the key back very reluctantly as I could of stayed there forever. Thank you applegarth I've returned home feeling so relaxed.

We visited the Apple Restaurant and what a treat - short menu but felt really catered for and so tasty. Calm restaurant room without noisy people or children so you can fully relax and immerse yourself in a nice meal and drink. Owners were very friendly and we highly appreciated the bit of chat.

Just arrived back from a three night stay at the Applegarth Villa. We stayed in the Broadcrag suite with hot tub. Absolute luxury. We received a nice friendly welcome on arrival were shown to our room where everything was fully explained from the coffee machine to using the suites excellent lighting system. Even fresh milk in a fridge for tea and coffee instead of those horrible long life pods you usually get. We dined in the hotel restaurant on the first evening the food was excellent and we couldn’t resist having three courses each and then a couple of drinks in a very nicely decorated bar. A very good breakfast was provided each morning with a good choice. The service from all staff at the premises was first class. The hotel is in an excellent location for visiting the Windermere area. I look forward to making a return visit.

We stayed here for 2 nights , staff are great and helpful , we stayed in room 7 , couldn’t fault it is was very clean and spacious , the breakfast was very nice , we had a great stay here a bit longer would of even been better and just a walk away from Windermere where we went on the boat Swift going up and down the lake , we had a great relaxing time , just what we needed
