The food was good and the hot spring culture in the town was great, but the hotel was too cold in winter. Very traditional hotel

The room is clean and tidy, and the Japanese breakfast is delicious

ホテルは昭和を感じさせるものでしたが、部屋にはこたつと石油ストーブもあり、そんなに寒くは感じなかったけど、家族は寒かったようです。個人差はあるかもしれません。 ホテル周辺の外湯が９か所あり、温泉好きの私はとても楽しめました。熱めということでしたが、私的には大丈夫でした。2月で寒かったけど、朝も近くの温泉で温まり1日をスタートすることができて良かったです。

I was able to stay cheaply in the hot spring town. This was enough for a night without meals, and I was able to visit 9 hot springs in the town. The building and facilities are a little old, but it has a Showa-era feel to it.

I used it because it was reasonable to go skiing in Shiga Kogen without difficulty. There is a rock bath with free-flowing hot springs and a private bath, and the rooms are spacious enough in Japanese style. I was handed a master key for the outdoor bath, and it was supposed to be a pre-ski trip, but before I knew it, it turned into a hot spring trip. The food is prepared well in the morning and is delicious. You can check in late at night, so it's perfect for skiing on your way home from work. Also, I would like to use it next season.

It's located behind the main street. The location is good with the outdoor hot springs next to it and diagonally in front of it. There was also a delicious Japanese sweets shop. The inn is a nostalgic inn with an atmosphere of the Showa era, and there is an elevator. There is a large public bath and a private bath, both of which are very comfortable and I took a long bath. Even if you don't have time to use the outdoor bath, this bath may be enough. For breakfast, I am happy to have a proper and delicious breakfast for the first time in a long time, such as thickly sliced salmon, seaweed, and a bowl full of rice that I can't eat. It was a fun trip because they kindly told me how to get to the sightseeing spots.
