First time in this chain will definitely look to book again in this location and elsewhere. Room facilities and layout great very relaxing. Only issue was a faulty hairdryer which I reported to reception & they apologised. Good location in York for train travellers 5 minutes from the station . Centrally located for key sites. Breakfast was well worth it individually ordered & cooked  worth it. Lovely views from the room river wall and minster

A very modern hotel close to York train station . Everything is perfect except for the light band around the bed is a bit annoying.

The quality of food is quite good, except not many choices are provided at buffet bar on Christmas Day.

Very good location if you are taking train. It was very convenient to find restaurants, convenient stores just around the hotel. The important landmarks, places of interest, walking streets, shopping and eateries are just around 500m away. Spacious room for couple. We liked the very modern interior, tea & coffer, cookies provided daily.

The food in the restaurant is good, especially the sirloin steak, which is better than expected. The appetizer of tiger prawns is delicious.

Very good hotel! I originally booked the Holiday Inn a week before departure. On the train from Edinburgh to York that day, Ctrip customer service Zhixuan sent a message saying that there were no rooms in the hotel I booked. I was stunned on the spot. The customer service explained that because the hotel was full but the system was not closed, the platform system defaulted to the room reservation. As a result, the hotel showed full on the day of check-in, so they called me immediately, but I had changed to a European card, and the domestic mobile phone number reserved on the platform could not be contacted at all, so they repeatedly sent messages to me on the platform, and confirmed in advance that this hotel still had rooms. After checking that this hotel was close to the train station and the main attractions in York, I agreed to change to this one. After checking in, I found that this local brand hotel is really much better than the Holiday Inn, and the room price is also a full 1,000 RMB more expensive than the Holiday Inn. I feel like I have picked up a great bargain! The breakfast is also very rich, but we are not used to smoked salmon! Very satisfied with Ctrip's room upgrade this time!

The location is very good, the transportation and life nearby are very convenient, there are Chinese Super League and restaurants downstairs

The room facilities were very poor, the hygiene was not good, and there was a strong smell of human fluids. The service was extremely poor. The check-in day was the weekend before Halloween, and there were many people. We checked in late, and the hotel actually changed the king-size room we had booked in advance into a double room. The reason given was that there were no king-size rooms. There was no integrity at all. The solution given by the front desk was to help us put the double beds together into one bed, and let us sit downstairs and wait for 1 hour before they cleaned up a room. At this time, we had already taken a day of trains and transportation, and we were exhausted, and we had to endure the cold and wait. There was no basic integrity. Very bad experience.

The hotel has a very good breakfast and the rooms are a good size.

The hotel is located near the city center, which is very convenient. There are many restaurants for you to choose from. The room is comfortable, quiet and clean. In general, I recommend everyone to experience it!

Great, the room is very design and very comfortable

The room is smaller than the York Hotel. The room is in a relatively modern style, but I don't like it very much. The overall tone is darker and a bit depressing. The hotel breakfast is also average, there are few choices, sausages or other meats are very salty, maybe salt is not expensive 🙃
