Facilities: Excellent facilities. It is rated 3 stars, but it must be 4 stars. The service is more than 5 stars.
Service: Excellent service. They asked for parking spaces, pointed out directions, and gave us coupons for nearby attractions and English and Chinese instructions. I couldn't believe that they prepared ice cubes for our room before we checked in. The girl at the front desk saw that we came from afar and upgraded the sea view room. The breakfast was also good.
Hygiene: Very clean hotel. The room is divided into three areas, like a suite, and it is a rare super large room for traveling in Japan.
Environment: You can see the sea from the window, and it is 2 minutes away from the beach. It is one JR station away from Beppu University, and 5 bus stops away from the awesome Takasaki Monkey Mountain and Oita Sea Ocean Museum, and 10 minutes away. We walked 600 meters from Beppu JR Station to the hotel, which was acceptable.

Travel with a group of friends to Beppu but only 4 of us decided to stay at Amanek for 2 nights. This was the best decision ever as we were closed to the JR station, eateries, Tokiwa shopping mall, Donki and the beach were within walking distance. Only few staff could speak English. Those who speak Japanese only also try their best to serve the guest. I am impressed by how clean and new the whole hotel is. Best of all, I love the free flow of juices & beverages. You could also do take away in the UCC coffee disposible cup. Love the choice of either western or local breakfast with free flow of side dishes. I am surprised by how big the bedroom is and spacious bathroom. The gym equipment tho basic, are new & in good condition. The onsen is clean & modern & I love the warm rooftop pool with an awesome view! Amanek is thoughtful to provide guest with a basket to hold all your onsen needs. Upon check out, I was overcharged for my 2 days of breakfast. The staff was quick to rectify the problem & refunded me on the spot. Yes, would definitely stay in Amanek again in my next visit to Beppu! Thank you for the awesome stay!

We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Service was very good. Parking was an extra 550 yen per day. Breakfast was Japanese style but did include a bacon and egg cooked in front of each guest with the small Japanese hotpot. Our room fit 3 adults was very nice with clean modern amenities consisting of one room with two single beds, and a sizable living room with futon in the evening for the third bed. Nice view of Beppu tower in our room. Hotspring outdoor was totally enjoyable with a view of the sunrise and the Beppu Bay. Gotta be careful though because for ladies, someone in a boat at the bay might be able to see our naked upper bodies with telescope if we stand up.😅

I'm sorry that the posting was very late. (I overlap because I found it here) Near Yufuin Station, I chose the inn without much examination of the room food 2 points. I have never stayed in an inn with a small number of rooms so far, and I arrived while thinking that the feeling of the image and the actual building is different, but it was a nice atmosphere inn more than the image. Although I am seeking non-daily, I can say that it is a sense of security like entering a relative's house or our house, and there is a warmth that cannot be expressed. In addition, we were greeted by the delivery of the dinner and the exquisite distance. When carrying food in the room, each person has their own taste, so I think it is hard to talk about the contents of the conversation. We were just talking about the contents and the tone of the voice. Thank you. As for the dishes, the taste was of course the best, including the dishes. I thought that the dish of the old TV program ”the iron man of the dish” would be like this. All of these were excellent, but I would like to eat the flavor of the drifting aroma and the surprise that I have never eaten and the matching taste of ”flat almond baking”. I can't talk about the dishes because of lack of vocabulary and knowledge, but I felt polite care from the preceding appetizer. This is what the material is active. It is a great product that I hope that this time will continue. There is no need to say breakfast. I was replaced by a white rice with a shining rice, and the momentum of the slice became empty. (I don't mean that there are few in the pavilion.) It may be a small thing, but when I went to the bath in the morning, I arranged the slippers properly, I think that you had a fine hospitality overall. On the first day, I also saw the sunset of Yufu Dake, and I am very very satisfied. It is said that the dishes are changed when staying overnight. There may be some hard work to create this, but I think that people who eat must be happy while thinking about it. It is difficult to visit in a long way, but I want to enjoy it again someday. I look forward to the day. I think you are busy, but please love yourself. Nice time, thank you very much.

It is a 5-story inn. To commemorate the anniversary of its founding 111, there was a free beer drink service in the lounge. It is a long-established inn in Yufuin Onsen. The customer service of the front desk staff was polite • and kind. I was able to answer the difference between Yufuin and Yufuin properly. I stayed in a large Japanese-style room on the 5 floor. When I opened the curtain, Mt. Yufu was approaching in front of me. The bathrooms are not unit-type, and the bath • Toilet • wash basins are independent. Supper is a summer Oitagawa kaiseki course. All the dishes were delicious. In particular, the dishes that left an impression on me were grilled on a Japanese black beef hoba miso ceramic plate. The warmed miso has a hoba scent, and the slightly sweet taste goes well with the beef. The more you want to refill it with an exquisite taste. Breakfast is buffet style. I was satisfied with the local menu of Oita Prefecture, including dango soup. There are two indoor baths in the large hot spring bath with a spacious space. There is also a whirlpool bath and a Louis Bosti hot water of the incense hot water. The open-air bath has natural rocks on the side facing the garden. The hot water temperature is a little hot and has a feeling of slimy. What is it in the indoor bath! Yunohana. Yunohana, which crystallized the hot spring ingredients, was in bloom in the bathtub. The hot spring is a good proof. I was able to stay at this hot spring inn and became a good memory of my husband and wife trip.

How cost-effective it is. Small business. There is a pick-up service after 3pm. We will take you to the station when you leave. There are only 6 rooms. Basically no one is using the public hot springs. You can go in at any time. It is no different from private ones. The meals are like family dishes. There are Mandarin-speaking work-study students. No need to worry about communication problems.

Yufuin is a top-level hot spring tourist destination in Japan. Since the area is small and it is a tourist resort, it is not very cost-effective. It is an all-Japanese family hotel. Two points to note: 1. Be sure to take a taxi. The last 600 meters is an uphill road. Poe, I was sweating from the exhaustion of dragging a box. 2. Dinner at the hotel is at 6 p.m. Don’t eat too much in Yufuin Town, otherwise you won’t be able to eat even the best Japanese dinner by then

Room accommodation with open-air bath [Room] Yufu Dake was well seen from the open-air bath. It is convenient to wash shampoo and body in the open-air bath or in the inner bath in the room. There are chairs and tables on the balcony. 【Amenities】 There are several cosmetics for men and women on the washbasin in the room. There are cleaning, but for the price of the room, including other amenities, it was .... 【Bath】 Small towels are prepared in the public bath, so you don't need to use wet things. There are few amenities in the dressing room. [Meal] Private room in the dining hall with evening breakfast. Dinner and Bungo beef steak were soft and delicious. When I entered the private room, I was already prepared for sashimi and baked fish on the table. There may be corona measures, but the baked fish was cold, so it was a little disappointing. There was breakfast, hot tofu and specialty ryukyu. There was a matcha and sweet service at check-in. It is good to spend a leisurely time walking to Lake Jinxi. I just felt that it was not as expensive.

I thought it was self-service and no one was there. I didn't expect that there was someone to greet you at check-in. Someone told you the precautions. I thought the hotel was old, so I was prepared for it to be dirty. Fortunately, it was very clean. There are supermarkets and restaurants nearby. It is very close to the JR station. I rented a private hot spring. I agreed with the front desk and registered. I can soak in it at will. It is quite clean. If possible, it is better to bring a disposable quilt cover. There are still some places that are not covered by their quilt cover. There are not many sockets, so you need to bring a multi-plug one. The quilt is based on the number of guests. Small disposable cups are given. Remember to buy some at the supermarket.

I used it on the Oita ~ Kumamoto trip at the end of the year. As a result of looking into the Yufuin, I made this inn, but it was correct here. The appearance has a calm atmosphere and the response of the employee is pleasant. The room was used by Yufu Dake 203, but it was so good that Yufu Dake could see well. It was a room with an open-air bath, but I felt reasonable in the same grade inn. The hot water seems to be the quality of the spring of this inn and there are many repeats. Anyway, the morning bath is pleasant! It was a very pleasant hot water with the view. I would like to put a handrail on this open-air bath so that even if the leg is inconvenient. What was surprised was cooking. I don't know if there is a cook who boasts his arms, but dinner was not honestly expected much, but it was actually very delicious. During the second night, the first night cooks the ingredients that are naive and firmly examined, and the second night is a menu like a large item, and it is naturally delicious. I felt that the boiling of the cherry blossoms was probably the best I have ever eaten. Finally, the air cleaner and the close avoidance measure in the point, and in this corona pass, this inn felt that it took measures to pay attention to the sivia. It was a good inn that I was recommended with confidence and wanted to come again.

GGuest UserWe stayed at the Ryokan almost three months ago. And I still did not write a review. We stayed there almost by accident, as the Ryokan we intended to stay in had only a vacancy for one night. There was time pressure. So I accepted their suggestion of their colleagues. Maybe I would not have picked it if I had looked into it better as I prefer a traditional house and here the old house (badly damaged by an earthquake) has been erased and replaced with daring new architecture. Yet is turned out to be the best place of our trip, one of the best places I stayed in, and I have been in many places all over Japan. How to write a review that does justice to this special place ? A place that has all the old fashioned refinery, mastering the tradition of omotenashi, blending it perfectly with a young vibrant savoir-vivre, global art and gastronomy. |I cannot write a review. Please read all the other ones, I only want to say : thank you, arigato gozaimasu ありがとうございます
GGuest UserI stayed at ”yamachahana” for one night from October 15th (Sun). It has a very moist and calm atmosphere, and you can see Mt. Yufu in front of you from anywhere, and it is a 7-8 minute walk to Yunotsubo-dori and Lake Kinrin, so it is perfect for enjoying Yufuin while holding a basket. I think it's an inn. [About guest rooms] The guest rooms, which are separated from each building, are quaint, and the small diameter that approaches the room is also very nice. The rooms are very large and luxurious, with living rooms, bedrooms, hot springs and terrace separated. What I was worried about was that the distance from the next room was close, so I could hear the voice of the next room, the lighting was too dark overall, the rain leaked on the terrace, and the bed was uncomfortable. [About Onsen] The room has a stone indoor bath that two people can take slowly and a semi-open-air bath of wood for one person, so you can enjoy bathing at any time 24 hours. It was a simple spring, but it was a little numeric and it was a very pleasant hot spring. The hot water temperature was just right. [About meals] Japanese kaiseki dinner was served in a private room, and American breakfast was served for breakfast. The dishes that I feel particular about the appearance and vessels are very delicious dishes that stimulate the five senses, and I felt the level of Yufuin, but compared to that of a long-established luxury inn in Yufuin, I want you to do your best a little more. However, I think it is a big plus point that a certain drink was served as a free drink at dinner. [About service] The staff are all young, but I was able to tell that they were polite and hardworking, and it was a good service. Also, the service that allows late check-out until 13:00 at 2,200 yen per hour was a nice service for the cherry blossoms. However, I was confused that there was one male staff member who didn't know anything at the front desk.
GGuest UserYufuin, who wanted to stay before. Renewed with the total design of etsuji Mitooka who worked on the luxury sightseeing train. It is an inn, but it has a chair and bed, simple but nice design, and it was perfect for us who did not like people coming in and out of the room. The meal was more comfortable and good than the room meal because it was served in another room. The dishes were also devised and beautiful and delicious. When I asked the young female staff, I was impressed by the answer to everything except the dishes. We couldn't leave food, so we were full of pots, because we had a lot of pots. The inn had a lot of dinner and breakfast, so the inn continued for two days was a little bit painful when it was old. The bath was a family, and there was a large open-air bath and I was able to relax. It was conveniently located to walk around Lake Jinpu and Yuno Tsubo Kaido Road, and it was fun to enjoy shopping and enjoy it. I would like to stay when I visit Yufuin someday.
GGuest UserThe large open-air bath overlooking Mt. Yufu has the best atmosphere. It's warm, so you can soak in it leisurely. For men, there is already a 1 or a small open-air bath that is hot and can be used by the bridge. I stayed in the main building. It is a building with a considerable age, and although it is undeniably old, the toilet has been renovated and cleaned well. The dishes were basic plans, so there were no high-class ingredients, but I was satisfied with the contents that I could feel politeness. Finally, the response of the employees was very good and made the impression of this inn very good.
Yyellowie8What a lovely place to have a retreat. It's away from the crowd but near the yufuin station....about 500 m. They don't have many rooms so it's quiet. Just outside the hotel is Lawson. Restaurants are also nearby. The hotel looks like a resort with beautiful landscaping. Staff is hospitable and although some don't speak very good English, they try their best. They allow us to keep our luggage at the lobby before check-in and after checkout. The hotel is simply generous with free drinks almost throughout the day and night, free usage of bicycles , beer and instant noodles are sold at a cheap price. It's a self contained hotel. Everything is there. The 4 private onsens are great. Rooms are clean but a bit cramped and it would be good if they have more hangers to hang clothes. A mirror on the wall would be better than a small table mirror. If you're not a cat lover, you might not be impressed when you see their cats walking on the food tables and sitting on the sofas. The small details like a note welcoming you and a photo of you at the end of the stay are why I would love to come back again.
GGuest UserYou can see Mt. Yufu from your room, and although the bath in your room is not open-air, you can enjoy an open view when you open the window. The layout of the room was simple and calming. It was a very nice inn with great attention to detail such as amenities and drink service. Although the food wasn't extravagant, it was just the right amount for middle-aged people like us, and there were free drinks, so we were able to enjoy the food and drinks without worrying about the price. The staff serving the food was also very attentive and had excellent customer service. I would like to stay there again if I have the chance.
GGuest UserThis traditional but upscale Japanese hotel has amazing views overlooking Mount Yufu. We stayed at the Villas which are large rooms each with an outdoor small private onsen with great views of the mountain and countryside. It was so relaxing to soak in the private onsen and soak in the nature around. The villa was large and comfortable but the bedroom section was in an upper duplex with slightly steep stairs, which would be challenging for those with mobility issues. The other part of the hotel looks like it has more traditional rooms. The main reception and restaurant were both luxurious. Food (dinner and breakfast included) was superb with Japanese kaiseki for dinner and traditional breakfast set. The resort has 2 names: Okuyado Buaiso and Okuyufuin Kohgen Resort-this made it slightly confusing to find. Although prices are high (about US$500/night) I would highly recommend to stay here for the lovely experience.
AAnonymous UserThis is the failure of the blind hotel selection for this trip to Japan. . In fact, there are many other hotel options in the town. Fortunately, the surrounding environment heals and does not affect the overall travel mood.
The so-called private bath is as small as a single bathtub, and the only outdoor hot spring time is very short. I didn't know that the scheduled dinner was not in the hotel until I arrived. I needed to take a car, and I didn't explain it in advance. It is very similar to a simple ABB standard hotel, which is very different from the expected hot spring hotel. It is also far from the station. The advantage is that it is very close to Jinlin Lake. Get up early and go for a walk. The environment of the town is so beautiful
The attitude of the service staff is very good. After 9 o'clock, they get off work and ask for self service. At this price, I can't complain, and I won't choose it next time
GGuest UserIt took us a while to find the Minshuku as there were no English signage. Luckily we asked us a passerby who pointed us in the right direction. The tatami room was enough for our family of 4 with an 8yo and 11yo. The communal sink was right outside our room and the shared toilets were right around the corner. We liked their small bath house too around the the back of the main building. We were very kindly greeted and shown our room. They most spoke Japanese but we managed to get by using translator apps. Ample parking and we were allowed to park for a while after checking out so we could walk around the small town. They also returned my daughter's bolster and purse which she accidentally left behind. The location of the minshuku is very good - just a few hundred meters from Kinrin lake and the tourist spots nearby.
HHatyaimanThe key is Private On-Sen upon very good pricing. There are 4 On-Sen; 2 Outdoor and 2 Indoor. This will be good place for On-Sen upon privacy. We did try twice on Biggest On-Sen outdoor as 6-7 occupied. Dinner is optional but I saw many people took this option. I do believe that location is a little far from downtown (actually less than 10 min walk). Then, dinner should be placed in the hotel for convenience. Dinner and Breakfast is local taste. There is small vending machine in the lobby. Free Transfer can be made upon request by e-mail. I feel staying HOME not Hotel. Host and staff (speaking Japanese, English and Thai) are considered as 5-star service. Highly Recommended. Re-Visit for sure
