Beautiful, secluded hotel in the mountains with amazing views from the room. They go out of their way to help you out with luggage and transportation to the hotel. The domain extends into the forest, with plenty terraces throughout. Breakfast and meals are also a plus.

We had an amazing stay at Foggy Valley. Our room had a great view and was well equipes. The breakfast was very good. Hu Qing organized us all park tickets and suggested the best routes. Thanks to all the staff also for driving us to the park entrance and picking us up. We strongly recommend this hotel and would book again.

Thanks to Hu’s careful scheduling, the driver was waiting for us upon arrival, ensuring a smooth and relaxing journey. This thoughtful preparation helped reduce any tension in the unfamiliar location 🚖 [Romantic Gestures and Quick Support] On the first day, my husband prepared a bouquet of roses 🌹. While I rested in our room, Hu accompanied him to the florist and translated. It felt like reliving our honeymoon 💕. Furthermore, when I accidentally left a bag containing important medication in a taxi the day before check-in, Hu quickly contacted the relevant parties 📞. In just three hours, he retrieved the bag and brought it to my room 🛡️ [Scenic Drop-off Services and Thoughtful Attention] Asheng, Hu, and a female staff member ensured safe and comfortable transport for each trip 🚙. They confirmed our plans, reminded us of tickets, and Asheng was always there to watch over us when returning late. Hu also picked us up from 72 Kiru, and we were very grateful ☺. Their care ensured a safe journey every time. [Prompt Solutions for Small Challenges] When we mentioned the inconvenience of charging our phones due to different plug standards 🔌, both Asheng and Hu promptly provided adapters, effectively solving the issue ⚡ [Rich Cultural Experience and Stunning Natural Beauty] FOGGY VALLEY’s surroundings were breathtaking. The views from the guesthouse were magical—morning mist resembling a dream and illuminated mountains at night 🌄. After visiting, I appreciated the value of the traditional Xiangxi architecture more and hope to explore more next time. The scenery, reminiscent of the mythical "Peach Blossom Spring," brought a sense of tranquility. [Special Services and Custom Experiences] The Chinese breakfast included warm dumplings and various options 🍲. The warm beef noodle soup, coffee machine, soy milk, yogurt, salad, fruit, and toast were great. The local berry tea and nuts were perfect for hikes 🌳. The complimentary laundry service made our stay more comfortable 🧺. The automatic curtain system brightened the mornings, and the premium bedding ensured a restful night’s sleep. [Traditional Programs and Photography Spots] The guesthouse offered programs like tea tasting and meditation, allowing guests to experience traditional Chinese culture 🧘🫖. The scenic spots around were perfect for capturing memories on SNS, enhancing our experience. The super friendly and cheerful owner of the accommodation, HU QING, contacted us frequently via WECHAT and helped us a lot to make our stay comfortable. The hotel also provided a round-trip shuttle service from the airport to the accommodation, and even though it was late at night, they checked on us and picked us up from Wulingyuan to the hotel. During breakfast, the staff meticulously took care of everything we needed, and they were all kind and friendly until our family checked out. It would have been better if the room cleaning was done more thoroughly. The other parts were great. I will never forget their kindness. If you want a more eco-friendly hotel than the boring hotels in Wulingyuan, this is the hotel for you.

Lovely little hotel with a great view and a good restaurant. The staff were very helpful and the service was excellent.

The place has a lot of potential but leaves something to be desired in too many ways and given the expense it cannot be justified. Cleanliness first of all, our room was dirty, full of dust everywhere and stained towels and sheets, our room was damp and smelled damp. I found the water bottle provided without dispenser very inconvenient, better the small bottles. The toilet bowl draining while still on top. The location is inconvenient for getting to Zhangjiajie Park, it's far away and you always have to call Didi (by the way it's perched on a steep slope) or have the hotel drive you there. The staff is friendly and helpful but unfortunately for the price paid and the way it is 'sold' this place is not enough. The place itself looks more fairytale-like in the photos than it does there, with dilapidated buildings all around.

This accommodation was excellent. The rooms were big, modern and clean, with great views of the local landscape. The service is fantastic. A lot of the staff speak good English, and go the extra mile to make sure you are well looked after in your visit to the area, including free transport to the park and transport hubs. The breakfast is good and varied, particularly the cakes and cookies. We also had dinner every night in the hotel restaurant and it was always excellent. Really recommended, particularly how much effort the staff make to welcome western travellers. There’s also a very friendly dog, and lot of cats, who all like to come and say hello.

Stayed 3 nights. Spacious room, but very flat pillows. We were in room 2101, nice Mountain view but neighbor can look into the room. A full body mirror will be welcome. Breakfast tasted ok, if menu can vary a bit daily will be good. What we like most was Hu Qing’s service, he attended to our needs without delay. What we like least was staffs addressed me as 姐，felt inappropriate. Nevertheless it was a pleasant stay.

I went with my family of 5. We appreciate the host’s helpfulness, provide extremely good services, and a hearty breakfast; which made our stay lovely and enjoyable. Will definitely recommend staying here in wu ling yuan.

Everyone at the homestay was very helpful and service all around was excellent from pickup/drop off to meal times and everything in between. The room was very clean. The homestay itself is located sort of in a neighborhood in the valley and being about 10 min away from the park’s east gate was no issue since they kindly offered arrangements to get there and back. The backyard was very serene with a small river & stepping stone path that led to a couple more scenic spots for morning coffee or tea, all against a backdrop of mountains that lit up at night.

Our stay at Foggy Valley Inn was magical! Huo and his family made us feel so much at home and were generous with their time and help! Not only is the hotel thoughtfully decorated to take in the views of the mountains, but the surrounding property had little trails that our kids were able to go on and explore the small waterfall and bamboo forest. Huo especially was helpful in helping us make arrangements for shows, shopping and guides to all the major sites in the area - and was always ready to drive us to anywhere we wanted to go. A truly memorable experience!

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed by far during our trip to Changsha. The property is so beautiful and the service was amazing. Henry and小胡管家are extremely helpful. We are so glad we stayed for 3 nights during this trip and will definitely will go back again!

Very nice hotel with style. I really love the design and decoration. The view, the tea, the food, the services are great. I will come again for Zhangjiajie.

The hotel is exceptionally good. The location is near to the East Gate of Zhang Jia Jie National Park Entrance. The food served by the hotel is authentic local food. But what impressed me is the services provided by the hotel. Mr Hu and his team is exceptional in provided the utmost best service. From the advice provided to us for the potential route to take in the national park to the arrangement of transport to and fro of your destination. He will make sure what you asked for are delivered. In our last day, my wife left her cap in the taxi. He arranged personally for the taxi to U turn to send the cap back to us at no additional costs. We were really impressed with the hotel amenities and their services.
