Zurich District 5-Industriequartier Hotels

Good value in a great location. We walked from the train station. Enjoyed an excellent breakfast while watching pedestrians and cyclists making their way to work and school. The beds were comfortable, the shower was hot and strong. The young man who checked us in was 5 star. Definitely recommend.

We arrived a day early for our tour and didn’t think our room would be available yet, but the front staff asked for 15 minutes to check with house keeping. We lucked out and our rooms were available early. 300ish room courtyard side which is only one floor up. Bit of noise from the other side of the hotel due to construction, but not noticeable in our room. Great air con or use the large windows. Shower very hot so you don’t need to set it too high. Bit more modern than my taste, but grows on you and not garish colours. Easy tram ride to the old town for site seeing or take a stroll along the river beside the part. Wonderful gardens. Breakfast is plentiful and can be chaos in the morning when there are three groups in the hotel. Suggestion: Move the centre aisle of tables half a foot to the left so the the aisle on the right when you face the food is a bit larger. Use the first table on the right for the bowls and plates. Helps out those that are shorter. The people flow is better when it is right to left since the coffee machines are on the left. We did this flow the last day in the hotel with our group and it was less congested at the coffee.

First of all, the city tax on arrival at the store was not charged Secondly, the room is really not too big and it is difficult to open the suitcase. This may be because the overall price level in Zurich is relatively high. The hotel's facilities and equipment are not advanced, but they are in good condition The breakfast is pretty good, standard, and there are fruits for guests to take in the lobby. It is really close to the train station, just around the corner, and it is very quiet at night. This has something to do with urban planning and train speed, which is different from our national conditions.

The room is big enough for a family (two children), breakfast is rich, you can walk to the nearby supermarket pharmacy and bakery, parking fee is 7 euros. The environment is quiet and a bit prosperous, near the bus terminal. There is a post office next door to send postcards

We stayed in both the main hotel and in the guesthouse across the alley and were quite satisfied if both facilities knowing they been renovated within the last year. The main hotel is right around the corner from Zürich HB the rooms feature a nice private bath (new, big & clean) and nice modern styling. The guesthouse as new and stylish as hotels go, but the modular bath/shower unit with its semi-transparent blue glass leaves a lot to be desired when everyone in the room knows what your doing on toilet (very little privacy). We luckily are prepared and carry large binder clips and clipped a bath towel across the glass during our stay. The staff are amazing and extremely cordial. Free coffee/tea is offered 24/7 in the main hotel and on each floor. Guest house residents must go back across the alley to the main lobby. Day tour buses are right across the street for easy access. We would stay again definitely.

We stayed at this Novotel in Zurich, the Novotel in Munich and the Novotel in Geneva. This Novotel was definitely not as good as the others. The location is fine - it's well connected to public transport (it is located in the business technology park). We had booked nearly nine months in advance and asked for two rooms near each other (we were travelling as a family). We were given two rooms on separate floors at opposite ends of the hotel. It was literally the most far apart that the rooms could be. Reception on check in said that they would change it, then kept me waiting for 45 minutes while they tried to do so. I gave up at the 45 minute mark and just took the rooms that had been initially allocated. The initial person on check in did try and be helpful and gave a good restaurant recommendation. The other person on reception really was not helpful - in the end one of his colleagues stepped in to assist as I think she could see that he was being very unhelpful. Reception was often busy with queues (the reception area is not large enough for the size of the hotel). We were clearly tourist visitors to the city, and no-one in reception advised us on check-in that there was a huge festival in the city taking place (attracts 2 million visitors to Zurich) that was affecting all public transport plus restaurant availability etc. The rooms and the pool were fine. The breakfast at this hotel was very, very average, particularly the hot food items. The breakfast compared very unfavourably to those offered by the Novotel hotels in Geneva and Munich. Check out took a long time, and there did not seem to be a place to drop keys. The staff have very casual uniforms (pants and polo shirt) which also contributes to the whole feel of the hotel seeming like a lower standard. Hopefully Novotel can look at this hotel and try and improve the standard so it is of a similar standard to its other locations. (Novotel Munich in particular was so much better!)

The hotel has a simple design, everything look clean and minimalistic, the hallway is looking like a prison. The air flow of the hotel is so strange. When anyone open their hotel door or close. You will also feel/hear it inside the room every hour. The hotel room does not include any mini bar, fridge, kettle. I first checked in and got a room in 2nd floor. But when i opened the door, it has very strong cold wind blow to me from inside to outside for 5 seconds, I am not going to explain this in here, you can interpert yourself. I went to change the room to 3rd Floor. I found there are so many kid palm mark on the window glass, meanwhile the bathroom sink suddenly has water leaking issue. So i changed the room again. After that I got the other room it looks fine, only the shutter in the window is broken, I cannot switch it to be opened. But after 1 day, the card is no longer working, I went to chnage the card again. Then I found that cleaning service forgot to close the window. It provides only 1 combination gel for shower/hair wash. And the hair dryer is very poor. Good things are the stuffs are kind, and I could borrow the kettle by paying 20CHF deposit from the reception. *like come on it is only a kettle... * And you could borrow unbella for free.

Close to Zurich station, but it was hard to find on the other side of the main street. And I was a little disappointed because it was a guesthouse in the hotel I checked in and the annex, and when I asked to press the bell every time I entered and opened, I took two people and I was close to a private night than a hotel, such as Elbe, a bathroom like a 간이 shower. Breakfast can go to the hotel and eat. Breakfast is generally a snack, so I don't want to recommend it

Sympathisches , modernes Hotel mit sehr freundlichem Personal. ( besonders Frau Preyer am Empfang) . Wir hatten einen Upgrade für eine Junior Suite im 6. Stock mit tollen , riesigen Fenstern, einem großen Bad mit Badewanne, Toilette getrennt, Ankleideraum und viiiel Platz! Die Lounge ist supergemütlich im 10.Stock mit guter Getränkeauswahl . Snacks waren immer vorhanden und das Essen das serviert wurde war reichlich und gut! Wir hatten die Wahl 1000 Punkte oder Frühstück im großen Frühstücksraum einzunehmen und haben uns für das superleckere Frühstück entschieden. Das Personal war schnell und umsichtig und meine Eggs Benedikt waren perfekt! Das Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb aber die S-Bahn Station ist gleich gegenüber. Das 24h Ticket kostet etwa 8 € und gilt auch für das öffentliche Boot auf dem See und Fluss. Empfehlenswertes, sympathisches Haus! Gerne wieder!

The location is fantastic, just 2 blocks away from the tram and 3 stops away from the Zurich HB train station. The building has a lift, so apart from the few step at the building entrance, no need to haul luggage up. The room is small, but well equipped with stove, pots and pans, cutlery, kettle, microwave, refrigerator. The bathroom is small and there is very little sink space, but there is a shelf on the wall and mirror box for you to put your toiletries. The front desk closes at 6pm, and after hours check in was a little bit stressful, as I tried to call the after hours number and it was unreachable for 10 mins. The hotel had apparently previously sent the access code for the key box to my email, but as I had booked through Trip.com, the access code was sent to Trip.com and not me, and Trip.com did not forward me the access code prior to my arrival. Luckily, after 10 mins I tried to call again and someone finally picked up and I was able to get the access code. Although my room was right next to the lift, it was pretty quiet and the soundproofing was good between the rooms. However, the soundproofing was terrible between the floors. When people upstairs were walking or pulling chairs, we could hear everything and sometimes it continued late into the night. Overall, I would stay here again because the price was really good for what it was in the area. Also, front staff Ivory was very friendly and helpful.
